Beautifully written story! Great dialog. And I liked how everything changed once she saw the bitten down fingernails.

An interesting tale, well told. Ms. Graham has created two memorable characters. She also has a knack for writing sharp, witty dialogue. The conversations literally crackle here! And I did not see (SPOILER ALERT!) the climax, in which Mr. Bible-thumper turns Lothario, coming. Great, great stuff!

I have just read this short story, and found it had me sitting on the edge of my seat! Absolutely thrilling, and so well written. The best short story i have read in a long time (apart from those written by my friends of course), and I can't wait to read more of your 'shorts'. Well done, and what a clever ending.
Kind regards, Louisa

The Teething Problems of Becoming a Writer (Article) - 4/11/2013 12:06:23 PM
I knew I wanted to be a writer at age eleven or twelve, but did not
pursue it until 2008.
Your article shows that we as writers know what we want and we go after it. Your last paragraph is right on target.
Enjoyed, thank you, Laura!
