i feel it is an interesting book that one should read .

The Crystal Rose (Book) - 7/8/2003 11:43:26 AM
I had to burn through this series of books. It was wonderful to see the application of spiritual values, an understanding of God's Covenant, and as is her skill - the choices that make people good or evil. I wish the series would continue - there is a lot the culture has to go through yet to come to a full realization of the equality of women and men. It would be so nice to see a diversity of characters undertake how to get a culture to change, one heart at a time.

The begining of seeing a society wrestle with a cultural change towards the equality of women and men, and in that equality a place for exceptional women. Again I loved to see characters chose to do good or evil. No one thinks they really do evil - and yet certainly they have.

I heard there was a Baha'i Writer so I ordered all her books and read them. Neat stuff. Great to see development and believability in characters who chose good or evil rather than just "are" that way for no reason. And the wrestling with the equality of women and men is a lesson well taught and in a "magical" world of the Divine Arts. I'm quickly catching up on all her stuff!

Sounds intriguing! Like an all-nighter, for sure!

Hole in Her Head (Short Story) - 12/27/2002 8:30:48 PM
Totally fascinating...I was wondering what was going to happen to her inspiration at that point after surgery...but, of course, I would have to buy the book to find out the rest. Excellent writing, Maya. Excellent work. Amor

Fictional Pitfalls and Pratfalls (Article) - 3/11/2002 4:15:23 PM
Thanks for this great advice. I must confess I'm awful at finishing what I start, even if it is short. If I can't finish a draft in one session, it often never gets done. I will certainly read some of the authors you recommend.

Fictional Pitfalls and Pratfalls (Article) - 2/28/2002 10:45:16 AM
A terrific article which should be read by all writer just before starting a new work. I learned a lot. Some of this I've done instinctivly because of reading good works, but I never new it clear. But one thing in this article that I've said often be it in writing or film making, finish what you start,be it long or short. A finished one page article beats an unfinished 400 page novel every time.
