Life...Just South of Happy (Book) - 3/24/2008 3:58:21 AM
This is an intriguing introduction to two contrasting lives of two characters thrust into the same milieu. I'd be interested to discover their motivations, desires and destinies.
Writing is... (Poetry) - 3/15/2007 7:20:26 AM
I think you summed it all up perfectly. When people ask me why I write, which nobody has ever really asked me, I have to say that I don't have the foggiest notion other than I'm addicted to it. Like you said, "writing is shit". I don't know what intrigues me more, that it is "shit" or that it is "divine", the former I am closer to than the latter. Great piece that nails it down.

a well written take on the constructs and intent of writing ...

"the soul/which gives me the inclination/to develop new cliches/in place of the old"- Great line! On the whole, a very good illustration of the willingness of the soul to throw itself into something potentially dangerous in a "faint hope" as you so accurately call it. Liked this.

Sad -eyed Lady (Poetry) - 2/15/2007 12:15:11 PM
This is very powerful Alexis. Not having experienced what this poor soul has gone through, I did feel her hurt. She must have been hurt very badly to sink so low. It is poems like this that bring the dark side of the world to our notice.
I felt for her, sadly I gave the excuse that it was only a poem, but it is real isn't it, people like this do exist.
welcome to the site.
