I'll bet I could recognize the chicken parts that your mother cut to get the pieces that she did. If you ever wonder where to go to buy bacon that still has the strip of pigskin still left on the meat, go to Williamsville store outside of Philadelphia, Ms. and fill your car up with it. That store is owned and operated by Peyton and Eli Manning's grandfolks, but I think that their Grandfather is dead. No one ever mentions him in present tense. Your folks sound a lot like mine. I enjoyed your story.

I think this was an important story to write. Your "grandarlings" will enjoy these memories because you shared them. I love reading about my ancestors--makes me proud of the stock I came from.
