Dark shadows of the mind! (Short Story) - 8/21/2009 10:14:58 AM
Our fears dominate us some times, but hot cocoa can always dominate them. Good imagery--quaint little bedrooms miles away from the fiery hearth--for a communal flame is always warmer.

The eerie night. (Short Story) - 4/22/2009 3:51:20 PM
'Twas a sad and eerie night for you, indeed! Yet...how much love it took for Hans Jorge to come to his mother and father and you, J.H. A vision never to be forgotten...for a reason, methinks. Thank you for sharing... Blessings and Love - Micke

A poetic Christmas story (Short Story) - 4/8/2009 9:53:21 AM
Here I am just now reading this at Eastertime, and what a beautiful Easter story it is, too!! No bunnies here, but plenty of cats, birds, squirrels, raccoons, and possums visit my back yard for bowls of food and fresh water every day! Blessings and Love to you - Micke

Dark shadows of the mind! (Short Story) - 2/7/2009 2:09:02 PM
I could not have written it any better myself. Darkness is a high front on Poetry and is far more widely communicated above all others. Excellent work.

The eerie night. (Short Story) - 2/7/2009 2:02:17 PM
A very heartwarming Poem. Outstanding! I cannot possibly imagine what you felt on that fateful night. God bless you and your loving words.

A poetic Christmas story (Short Story) - 12/25/2008 1:30:01 AM
"...like being in a Disney movie..." where all the little creatures are happy and man gives love to all of them. A nice little story from a man with a big heart. Georg

A poetic Christmas story (Short Story) - 12/24/2008 12:33:12 PM
Wonderful story! Animals seem to know more than we think. And it was so sweet that the bunny knew you were a kind person and would care for him.

A poetic Christmas story (Short Story) - 12/24/2008 4:08:06 AM
The Christmas Angels voice was much louder, So I listened to her. It's truly wonderful when those Angels speak to us, and this is a wonderful story Bird Whisperer, or should we now call you Bunny Whisperer!

A poetic Christmas story (Short Story) - 12/24/2008 3:00:00 AM

A Christmas story! (Short Story) - 11/30/2008 6:15:55 PM
Hello Horst, You have beautifully captured the essence of that to which I am alluding in my "wise-guy" point of view in "I'm Dreaming of a Pink Christmas". We all want to capture such scenes from our youth.... whether or not they actually occurred. A wonderful job. Frank

The eerie night. (Short Story) - 10/18/2008 12:42:25 PM
Great story. Thanks for sharing it with us. Malcolm Watts

The eerie night. (Short Story) - 10/18/2008 1:18:46 AM
I never saw no light when my brothers died, one a fighter pilot (bomber's escort) the other a bomber pilot. Their bodies were never recovered, so, no tombs to leave a flower on. But you have the ocean to go and throw a flower, because there's the home now of Hans Jorge. Thanks for telling us it. Georg

Calling all Birds! (Short Story) - 9/28/2008 6:13:53 AM
This encounter will be spread throughout the community of homeless bums and you will be the star. Funny stuff and enjoyed the surprise ending. CarolHawks

A Christmas story! (Short Story) - 7/13/2008 12:32:22 PM
CHRISTmas indeed is in your story. It is very special. GOD bless you! John Michael

Calling all Birds! (Short Story) - 6/18/2008 7:41:06 AM
Bird Whisperer, I am sure that man has already forgiven you, since he, like many of your bird friends, is one who many have forgotten. Keep On, Keepin On, ya never know who you're gonna meet out there! On my rounds to feed my feral cat friends, I recently ran into a Police Officer, who had been called to the scene with a report of a Prowler! Alas, it was only me, and thankfully, he was an animal lover, too.

Calling all Birds! (Short Story) - 6/17/2008 11:57:29 PM
Dear Jasmin: I do know now the name of "the man that could talk birds about coming down from the trees" it is Jasmin, isn't? Georg

Calling all Birds! (Short Story) - 6/17/2008 6:55:56 PM
What a most exciting surprise, you had no idea he was sleeping there and he must have been tweedling and saying words to himself that you thought you heard a chirp. Rescuing him from the bushes surely surprised him too. Many homeless are in parks and out of the way places, but I saw 3 in the city today. Felt sorry for them. They were so dirty and shaggy and needed shaved, the lady had on a long coat on a hot day, all she owned with her in a shopping cart. Many like this in this world, sorry shapes.

A Christmas story! (Short Story) - 5/27/2008 3:17:28 PM
Christmas a time of good will and to get together with neigbors and relatives. The smell of the pine branches too decorating the house. I always did love Christmas and always remember too that Jesus is the Reason for the Season. This write is a happy joyful one and I am glad I got into it now. Always can abide a Christmas Story at any time of the year.

The snow storm! (Short Story) - 3/24/2008 1:30:15 PM
the snow storm in the end is just that. the only reality is one's own motion sometimes rewarded. Great message. (the one i'm hearing) thanks, pete

A Tall Tale! or T..l (Short Story) - 3/8/2008 6:57:59 PM
A Tall Tale teller you are Jasmin! Have you thought about tossing petrol on the street side of the snow pile to melt the stuff :o) Methinks your tree friend is a friend indeed... Micke

A Tall Tale! or T..l (Short Story) - 3/6/2008 10:50:35 AM

A Tall Tale! or T..l (Short Story) - 3/6/2008 7:56:35 AM
Excellent write, Jasmin; bravo! (((HUgS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

A Tall Tale! or T..l (Short Story) - 3/6/2008 7:16:31 AM
Now that I am living on a top floor, I look down at those fffffng SOB and give them my most diabolical laughs I can muster HA HA HA HA But I know what you meant, on my last house ground level and when there were snow, after shoveling untold tons of the stuff out of my driveway...there they come shovelling it back over my dying body. Next time invite them with a warming shot of Genever and afterward call the Cops and tell them that the SOB are DUI. HA HA HA ! ! ! That will teach them. Georg

A Tall Tale! or T..l (Short Story) - 3/6/2008 7:07:45 AM
The Trials and Tribulations of The Bird Whisperer! God Bless you, my friend. You should write a book! And those gods, and those humans waiting at home, can truly be devilishly mean, and I know what you mean - it's often colder inside my house than outside - when I come crawlin home!

Convoluted convulsions with cheek in tongue (Article) - 11/2/2009 7:29:14 AM
Concocting colloquial customized conundrums will get you nowhere but get your nose out of joint. (LOL?) Georg

It shouldn't need to be a right! (Article) - 11/29/2008 1:26:52 PM
You are doing what you do best, Jasmin, writing, a voice calling in the wilderness if you will, but a voice that keeps on keeping on so that somebody hears, and changes a little for the better. It is a long, slow process....Jerry

Puppy Mills 3 (Article) - 11/29/2008 1:22:04 PM
Jasmin, I commend you for your concerns and your great compassion. Few others, it seems, can visualize how it must be for the animals kept. I am happy to say that strict laws here have been enforced that see to the health and nutrition of such animals. Anybody raising unhealthy animals either has no market for them or the inspectors close them down. The ones who fall through the cracks are persons who keep five or fewer female dogs, and, thus, don't have to be state or federally licensed. There is another side to the coin that beyond health and nutrition, the dog is an animal meant to run, and have exercise. I feel just as badly at those people who chain a dog, and forget him. Keep writing and righting on, Jasmin....Jerry

Puppy Mills 3 (Article) - 11/23/2008 10:16:32 AM
well done

Puppy Mills 3 (Article) - 11/23/2008 5:27:26 AM
In my younger times, I got a puppy dog, an Alsatian Shepherd Dog, from a friends litter (he didn't give them to anybody he wasn't sure of) and it was my companion for 19 years. No puppy-mills then, and if they was one we didn't know about. Stray cats and dogs weren't around...yet, until some entrepreneur dreamed that ubiquitous "ask Daddy for a puppy as a Christmas present" And, in a society of use and throw away...nothing should surprise anybody when people by any means pursue the "American dream" of a fast buck. Georg

Puppy Mills 3 (Article) - 11/23/2008 4:20:33 AM
What kind of God awful sick mind could close an eye at night, and actually sleep knowing what misery he or she has created? Far too many, I fear, especially these very sad days - and many of them are our so called 'leaders.' Here in the U.S., we cannot rely on our politicians to act humanely in shutting down these profitable puppy mills; and I truly hope you have better luck doing that in Canada. Here, we must continue our efforts to educate the masses about these abysmal puppy mills, and continue our attempts to get people to Adopt Dogs from Shelters, not Buy them from puppy mill pet stores. And I'm re-posting another tragic Puppy Mill story for you today, my friend. And I truly wish we could both sleep better.

Puppy Mills 3 (Article) - 11/22/2008 11:18:47 AM
As a lover of dogs, feeling, very strongly, as you, I wish you luck in having your letter published in your local newspaper. However, I fear, in todays economic crises and the daily horrors that go on amoung us, for those that have never felt the unconditional love given us by our four legged friends, sadly, their suffereing may seem inconenquental. Mark Lichterman

It shouldn't need to be a right! (Article) - 11/13/2008 4:22:12 AM
will the world change, I doubt it, and maybe I do get bitter about it, and resentful, for I do believe that as a species we have the capacity to change, and change for the better. We surely have the capacity, but as Georg says, throughout mankind's history, we just don't seem to have the will, or the desire, to do so. And I very sadly don't see better days ahead - not nearly enough human beings even seem to care.

It shouldn't need to be a right! (Article) - 11/13/2008 4:13:07 AM
Since immemorial times, man has practiced, developing, refining the art of sadism in the name of religion, politics or/and science. If they could find a way to death/torture a man like Jesus, skinning a live rabbit shouldn't raise any eyebrows. I have seen face to face one the deadliest snakes that didn't attack me after finding I wasn't a treat; but I have seen men to kill other men just for the heck of it. Georg

My friends on Halloween (Article) - 10/30/2008 10:03:15 AM

Gods' world, not yours! (Article) - 10/21/2008 2:54:33 AM
I hope that when the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse arrive I get a first row seat so I can see the face of the many that sneered at the idea of be forced to pay for what they did. Georg

Gods' world, not yours! (Article) - 10/20/2008 6:25:19 PM
HUH?

Arrogant attitude! (Article) - 10/17/2008 1:08:20 AM
WWII, 20 years old, saw in a concentration camp what man can do to man and I couldn't believe it, couldn't forget those eyes that couldn't believe we where there, not just a dream or a wish; the same eyes I have seen in many "less" creatures what man do, as man in the name of man practiced in those concentration camps. Georg

Arrogant attitude! (Article) - 10/16/2008 8:42:12 PM

Is it just me? (Article) - 4/14/2008 7:23:11 PM
JASMIN - NO, NOT JUST YOU ... BUT ... A. one NEVER prepays for any services to be rendered beforehand, and especially Not thousands of dollars ... maybe a down payment, then the balance upon final SATISFIED COMPLETION. Too many charlatans resting on those beaches! B. old saying: Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on ME! even a THIRD STRIKE might be suffered - but NEVER FIVE TIMES! A complaint to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU should have been made at strike two! A call from an attorney on strike 3! C. TEMPER FUGIT - Time Flies! Amazingly, each of us has the exact same amount of time allotted to us - 24 hours per day - no more, no less! How we use and enjoy it, or abuse and waste it, is each individual's CHOICE - every NANOSECOND! TICK-TICK-TICK ... Peace, my friend - Peace ... Tom.

The dark Ages! (Article) - 4/13/2008 12:58:39 PM
And we thought of Canada politicians as the civilized ones compared with our bunch, then we remembered that our bunch and yours are using the same banks and the same brokers. So, what's new? no surprises here Georg

The dark Ages! (Article) - 4/13/2008 6:59:51 AM
I will not buy Canadian or Japanese goods until they stop the abuse of animals (seals and whales). I am just one person, but it's astounding how one can become a million. Keith

The gates of Love! (Article) - 2/22/2008 4:39:35 AM
"I wander away from its cold divide, looking, elsewhere, don’t know where, hoping, hoping to fill the void with my presents, and having it acknowledged, somehow somewhere, someone, who, someone said there was a God, me creator, did she hatch me, and then abandon me, to this empty space, this lonesome vigil waiting! Waiting for what? Ah I forgot, to be acknowledged, or was I discarded like waste upon the universal heap, to rot there, in silence, with all the other discarded and rotting refuse" When reading this, my friend, I couldn't help but think back to the thousands of abandoned and left behind pets on the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina struck. How god-awful it must have been for them to feel such total abandonment, and far too many of them perished - all alone and unloved. But as you say, there are so many still waiting for that one touch of love and compassion, at animal shelters and humane societies all across the globe. We all should be helping them, one animal at a time.

The gates of Love! (Article) - 2/22/2008 1:59:11 AM
The heart of our Mr.Ed will melt with this one, as the heart of everybody else, more so for those that knows the meaning behind your yours. Yes, when we feel utterly alone and abandoned it will come and snuggle inside our arms and we............. Some articles are great, this one is beyond that. Georg
