Nice cosy poetic piece. Sipping tea and reading a favorite book in a cool cottage. What can be more enticing?

Brianna's Cottage (Poetry) - 2/26/2011 3:27:59 PM
Nice! I've seen cottages that invite just the kind of person and the kind of thinking you mention in your poem. My wife and I hve been to Nova Scotia and along the coastline, have seen many such cottages which welcome you with a cup of tea. rege

The Unknown gate (Poetry) - 3/23/2009 6:04:50 PM
Dear Shelley, I came across this gate and wondered who is behind it. I finally peaked through the key hole and guess what I saw? A litle doll playing with a small bird. I wondered what language they were talking, as I myself talk every day with my lovely and free flying birds. Have you noticed? Why did you stop writing, you have a great talent, use it. My friends will admire you. You know already a few of them. Love Emile

I have an aunt with a cottage like that in the mountains-comforting to read.

The Unknown gate (Poetry) - 8/26/2007 7:17:36 AM
The Unknown Gate stands as evidence that humankind is as curious as the cat but more cerebral. The cat would swipe a paw and end the mystery. We tend to consider the mystery from 47 angles first, and then share our curiosity with others. We may never open the door for what we gain in revelation we lose in mystery. Aren't we a crazy bunch? Loved your poem. Richard

The Unknown gate (Poetry) - 7/10/2007 10:20:16 AM

Brianna's Cottage (Poetry) - 4/25/2007 9:03:49 AM
As ivy doth climb upon its walls lending life waiting to enter in, gives the feeling of the simple life like sipping tea with the next of kinn. Warmth and laughter linger behind its door pale linen curtains white and shear, Brianna's cottage invites those who visit from far and near. Dear Shelley...I want to visit Brianna's Cottage...what a write...warm, cherubic, and realistic....Hoping to read more of your works in future....simple but wonderful write....keep it up....cheers...love n luck...BHUWAN!!!!

The Unknown gate (Poetry) - 4/14/2007 10:28:19 PM
"And wander what lurks behind" I think you meant to write "wonder" in this line but I could be wrong. I always appreciate it when others point out my "typos." Notwithstanding, I love your poem. It "speaks" to me because I believe it is of a universal and timeless theme of humans on this planet. Thank you for sharing this. Welcome to AD. Love and peace to you, Regis

The Bird (Poetry) - 4/9/2007 3:11:20 AM
Shelley, I like the rhyme, flow and of course, the bird. I'll often try to mimic a bird when they whistle and you'd be surprised at how many will keep answering back, or would you? You know what they say about birds of a feather. (lol) Seriously, Enjoyed much.
