Traditional Publishing vs. Self Publishing (Article) - 7/9/2007 4:18:33 PM
Thank you for your informative information, I am sure it will clear the mind of the confused and allow them to choose the route which is best for them.
As a new author and published author, I too decided to go self-publishing, only because no one came knocking at my door and my mailman and I were tired of receiving those rejection letters.
As we all know "everything has its due season". Most of us know self-publishing can become hard work; trying to get your manuscript out there, your name notice and your works read...but in time...it will pay off.
Luckily and of course bless, I was able to find a literary agent who believes in my work and would like to promote my next book, "Whiplash"- which will be available in the fall of 2008 if not sooner.
Whatever you do, don't give up on your dream, your desire to write and your self-worth because the doors are not opening fast enough....soar like an eagle, believe you can do it...and know you have the right too.
Once again thank you for the informative information.
Stay focused and abundantly bless,

Traditional Publishing vs. Self Publishing (Article) - 7/3/2007 10:09:12 AM
I agree with you. As a self-published author and an Independent Publisher Book Award 2006 Winner, I have no regrets. I investigated getting a literary agent and waiting to see if my manuscript could be 'sold' to a traditional publisher and once it was, then it might take anywhere from one to three years to get it in print. As you wrote, "If you conceive it, you can achieve it."
