On The Other Side (RIP Whitney Houston) (Poetry) - 2/12/2012 9:27:11 AM
Like Billie Holiday, Janis Joplin, and Amy Winehouse, Whitney had a fatal flaw that fame was too hard to take. She had a voice that was incomparable and I loved her from the first time I heard her. Thanks for this beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady who touched our hearts every time she sang. Ron

On The Other Side (RIP Whitney Houston) (Poetry) - 2/12/2012 8:30:37 AM
Amen! Yes I was so saddened by the news of her death. She was an angel with a golden sad, but now she is no longer in pain, she is free, to sing in Heaven's choir...RIP Whitney..... Thank you for writing this beautiful tribute poem to a very special woman... Peace, love and light, Amber

On The Other Side (RIP Whitney Houston) (Poetry) - 2/12/2012 6:09:12 AM
Thank you. Blessings always.

O, my tears jumped, on the morning of Al Shapton's speech. Brother Michael rose from those who stood sore - feet apart from the lines to the sky where power is alive, unseen by their evil flow, where tears are judging judgements by their own unstable wings and wind....wreched. And they gathered together, in this outlined region. But Jesus smiled, for His son arrived safely! Naked but whole and fully aroused from the dirty hands of humanity ! R.I.P Thank you Rene for your beautiful poem! I was deeply touched by it!!!!

Scents are like some wonderful worded phrase, they linger as succulent. Some drive you to find its source so you to can surround yourself in it at will.I see why you are so awarded, I applaud your talent and hope to read more and more. You appear to be one of those "scents" we long to repeat. Wonderful piece!

This is a very beautiful poem and tribute to the King Of Pop.It touch my heart.Take care EDWIN

Rene, A beautiful write for Michael Jackson. May he find the peace he never found on Earth. Your stanza, "calling me names so undeserved now look how many care throwing stones out to get me in the end, tears were shared" rings with truth. Well done. Michael was one of my favorites, too. God bless his family, friends and fans as we mourn his loss. (((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

MOST BEAUTIFUL, MOST TALENTED POEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liana Margiva

I don't believe in anything negative that people have to say about Michael. In my mind, Michael is ALWAYS the innocents young boy who was deprived of a normal childhood, forced into child laboring by his father, being false accused of things that he had not done. People see a defenseless rich young boy whom they could scheme to make money, and they did - by falsely pointing fingers, when they know he was innocent!!! I believe in Michael!! It's sad how some people look at him in a different way, but I will always remember Michael as the innocent little boy who had been deprived of a life of his own!!! Sandie Angel :(

WORN (Poetry) - 5/23/2008 3:46:56 PM
Your poem poses a tough one, Rene, one that can only be answered, I suppose, by professional counsel. In a situation not too dissimilar I decided to love until it hurt. And it did. I hope the call never comes.

Sand Man (Poetry) - 5/18/2008 2:44:03 PM
Hmmm it must be fate but I wrote something that mirrors your poem It's called the End of Sandman. It may not be as good as yours but I'll let you read it for yourself. Nice Flow. "The End Of Sandman" I hear her biological clock ticking But what she doesn't know is I too have a pelvic pendulum Want Deeply to Tick with her Tock Yet time is a fugitive So little we have and I'm tired of chasing sunsets So I chase her to her door In hopes to place her minute hands in my hour hands Watch as she resists my touch time after time Yet she gives in to my kiss As she releases the waves of her lips over mine Draws back and forth like the smoothest tide Until my sands are drained and I am left an empty bottle floating in the ocean of her arms. By Chris L. Wright
