A Turkey That I Knew (Poetry) - 11/18/2007 11:57:24 PM
Oh this really rings true. Once you met them, how can you do the deed :) We had a Rooster in our Coup on our small farm when I was a girl. My Sister called him Cheeky Charlie, and together we would feed him grass and play with him. One day he disappeared while we were at school, and when next our Mother roasted a chicken or so she said,( huh it was Charlie ) we boycotted her bigtime, and insisted on having an egg instead!!! Thanks for this, a true delight. :) Ch'erie

Haiku (Poetry) - 7/31/2007 5:45:08 PM
How wonderful. Real Ku. This uses three of the senses, smell, sight, and hearing. I can see it all. Reminds me of cutting my dads lawn, with a heavet surrey roller, on a summers day, then come in lad and keep yer kidneys flushed. Was hard work, but did a grand job...Leckies don't roll the lawn.. Perfection in this....
