Chicken & Rise! (Book) - 11/4/2007 3:16:46 AM
You are a very talented man. Your excerpt has me in its grasp. I can't WAIT to read this book. And, now I'm going to read all of your other works.

The Point of No Return! (Short Story) - 12/2/2008 4:28:59 AM
Pittbulls ain't no joke! And the youthful thoughts of invincibility are golden. Have you thought of submitting your work to Tuesday Shorts, on MySpace? Nicely done. Thanks for the read. Verdi

The Battle Is Not Yours! (Short Story) - 9/28/2008 5:14:16 PM
Comment: Wow! Great short story...

The Battle Is Not Yours! (Short Story) - 9/27/2008 9:27:02 AM
As ever, Chris, your talent is overwhelming. There are a very few minor grammatical errors-- the "worst", not worse; Inside "lay" a black..., not laid; and a your that should have been "you're" (in a conversation with the head-guy... other than that, it's all jargon. What a wonderfully powerful story you tell! I liked the passion that was tangible-real in the initial greeting of the soldier, the conversations with her daughter, the frustration of the power-outage was palpable, and what's more, the whole frenzied pistol-bent mission that seemed so plausible... mulling and driving, planning... and that powerful sentence from her daughter's lips... it was all very well drawn out. --Charlie

The Point of No Return! (Short Story) - 3/27/2008 9:43:20 PM
I did the same thing--sorta. My friend's dad was a policeman, and he had a trained German Shepheard attack dog. They had a high-fenced yard. And for the fun of it, we'd yell "Sic 'em" and then slam the fence shut. But that dog was smart, and she remembered. So one day, walking home the mile from milking, and carrying two glass gallon jugs of milk, the dog (who's yard happened to be open) attacked me-- tore a big chunk out of my side and my arm, and would have done more, had my friend's father not come to my rescue. I'm still not afraid of dogs. But I certainly learned you don't play chicken with the canine bullets. --Charlie

Backyard Ballers (Short Story) - 3/10/2008 10:15:09 AM

Her Water Into Wine (Article) - 9/27/2008 9:37:27 AM
This little beauty is just like your subject--first read, you hold it in your mouth--second read, it begins to age--get richer. By the fourth read, your mind is trembling-drunk with the meaning, wishing such a relationship for yourself. Like I song I love, that says "she sees a diamond where all of the others saw coal"... I love it. --Charlie

Chris, I Love This Piece Of Poetic Art You Have Penned The Last Lines Blew Me Away! Very Lovely Wording Poet! "No, it asked for water instead, but still got none Nevertheless freedom was never thirsty It took empty cups and made them half full of faith Freedom tapped its tin cup against iron bars Making a racket all night long Until someone stopped, Listened and heard, Freedom Ring!" Queen of Kong & Sunshine Rains On Lovers Blue (Poetry) - 4/16/2008 9:02:14 PM
Chris, Both of these are beautiful poems! I love how you tell stories in each one, and they are so vivid. The thing I love most is how you express your feelings about love and relationships so richly without getting too intense or graphic in the descriptions. Have you ever performed these live? That would be awesome! If a person closed his/her eyes while you were reading these, the imagery would take them there. God bless you.

Laws of Love & Picking Peaches! (Poetry) - 4/2/2008 4:34:46 AM

Queen of Kong & Sunshine Rains On Lovers Blue (Poetry) - 3/27/2008 10:59:00 AM
The imagery that you use is amazing! The titles of your poems so perfectly capture the essence of your poems... I loved how you tied everything in to King Kong in the first poem. In the second poem, I almost didn't complete it because it was a little shocking. But... the ending...after he left the coffin. Oh...pure beauty! I loved the imagery of the sun and rain at the end. Terrific writes! Cryssa

Laws of Love & Picking Peaches! (Poetry) - 3/27/2008 10:51:30 AM
What a beautiful description of love...to defy the laws of physics and to change the way I think of love. I always thought that love kept me grounded, but now I realize that isn't true... it gives me roots, but helps me fly. I love so many lines from this poem... really I love the whole expression. It is just superb! And... I love the ending of the Picking Peaches poem as well... Cryssa
