I agree with Leann and Karen. This is indeed very heartbreaking and shivers the soul. But even in the real world, I feel what we had intended was seen by the person we had in mind even after they pass away. This was written very well and full of emotion and visual images. Thank you for sharing.

Interesting to see more character development of Jamie and the relationship between the two, Mary. In reference to your fish cooking, I've always been taught by editors to refer to the animal in such a situation as an "it" rather than the personal pronoun unless the story actually is about the animal in which it becomes OK to call it he or she along with its peers. I don't see this as a great problem, but thought you'd like to know. Enjoyable as always, and I am glad to see you back..Jerry

SO good to see you back! I was afraid that Dirty Rachel spirited you off for good on some nefarious adventure deep in the heart of Istanbul. A pleasure to read you and Rachel again, as always. I particularly liked getting a little more insight into Jamie, who always seems wie beyond his years and uniquely patient with Rachel. Looking forward to more!

I don't know how I missed this earlier... maybe my tracker isn;t working.. pout. This could be a Mr. Bubble ad for a number of different demographics. I am feeling the urge to go take a bath now myself. I am now curious, what other memories does Rachel have from the orphanage? And are they looking for her? What kind of scene could an irate nun cause in Rachel's new home? Much to play with here. Dirty Rachel continues to enchant!
