My Name is Not Monkey Girl ..second edition (Book) - 2/1/2008 6:31:09 PM
After reading My Name is Not Monkey Girl it touch my soul so deeply ,to where my one prayer is that she gets on the Oprah show one day to let this world see her beautiful smile. I let my eight year old granddaughter read the book and it taught her a lesson on compassion.

I pray that God continues to use her to spread His powerful message of love and I cannot wait to purchase the second edition for Nya. Deb

Baby Girl Jumped the Broom (Short Story) - 9/26/2007 5:52:12 AM
This 'read' was quite enjoyable. In particular, the author paints a masterpiece of a story which engagingly depicts 2-decades flawlessly. In the end, it masterfully rolls like a 'flick.'

The Little Heroine.. A Survivor Emerges by Miriam L. Jacobs (Short Story) - 9/24/2007 5:18:01 AM
I am glad I read all three posts together. This write is tremendous in its power and presentation. The journey to survival can, and sometimes is, a froad that seems to have no ends. It can be black and difficult to see or to know which direction to turn. But, the one thing we do know is that when we do "SEE" the brightness of victory, it is undeniable and devine in its nature. Thank you for a wonderful journey this morning. Much appreciated and understood. With my very best regards, Chris

Sweet story, Mimi. Your niece is so beautiful and she exudes happiness. May the Lord continue to bless her and the new union. Jumping the broom reminds me of Kunta Kinte from Roots. Great title, Mimi. Give my blessings to the happy young couple.

Candalyse Publishing; Publishing with a Purpose (Article) - 12/20/2010 8:15:33 PM
Anyone considering the services of Candalyse Publishing should know that I published two books with Mrs. Jacobs and was working on my third. Due to illness in my family I decided to put the last one away for awhile and informed her. I had already paid 600 dollars to Mrs. Jacobs, who refused to refund any money or supply me with 50 books which I had already paid for. She was verbally abusive and cut contact with me. Now I am out 600 dollars and have nothing to show for it. I can't believe after the business I gave to her and her company in the past that she would just treat me this way. She is dishonest and a liar. Please do not trust her to publish your work if you value it at all. She will rob you and then leave you with nothing.

Abandoned (Poetry) - 1/30/2009 12:17:24 PM
That's good stuff! I think the biggest lesson we can learn is that God Says that he will be with us always and if God is in the people we love then there is no exception for them either because they will be with us always as well. So as you said we are never really alone but always longing to meet again. Moreover, its memories that give us clues how refind the one's we've lost physically but not forever. Well Written Words Sista & Have A Crunk Day!

Miriam, I just loved this! I can relate to this in one respect and that was because my husband chose to leave me and our two children. Sad Eyes (Poetry) - 8/23/2007 5:59:51 PM

Shantel, Danielle, Susan Stephens;Three Little AngelsR.I.P. (Poetry) - 8/23/2007 5:55:17 PM
I am so sorry that you had to have this sorrow in your life. When these things happen there is just no way to make sense of it. God is so much bigger then we are and we can do nothing but continue to trust Him. But even though we know God is in control, we still grieve and miss them so very much. A beautiful piece in their memory!

i like the way you have written this. its almost as if 'awoke with dreams of angels' is some kind of refrain and would even make for a great first line of a new stanza. it must be so hard to think/write about such a tragic incident. i pray that writing brings you comfort and healing and that your memories of these beautiful girls stay alive in your heart =) take care.

Sad Eyes (Poetry) - 8/19/2007 12:08:09 AM
'We as adults, are the appointees to raise compassionate, loving babies. Teach our children what truly matters and that staring and comparing is how hearts and souls shatter.' An incredibly important poem Dearest Miriam! Yes, yes 'nothing is as it seems'... if only we were all taught the truth of our Oneness always in all ways, because we All One, never alone in our sufferings on this earth. We need each other's compassion for we are delicate human flowers... all colours, shapes, textures: Perfectly Imperfect Human Beings! We must bow to each others differences... It is then we truly belong, having found heaven on earth. Thank you again for sharing Sad Eyes Miriam... And, Welcome to the Den!! Great to meet you! Love and Friendship Suzie :-D

Sad Eyes (Poetry) - 8/18/2007 6:26:31 AM
What a profound write my friend, this poem speaks multitudes of wisdom...for yes, we can learn so much from children...if we only take the time to observe and looker deeper than the outward appearance, but look at the eyes which are windows to their heart and soul where the truth lies...a wonderful write my friend, expressed very well. Enjoyed! So glad I stopped by... Blessings, Joyce B.

What a beautiful lesson you teach your child here! She is just as bright and golden as the sun, and her beauty, spirit and accomplishments are nothing short of GLORIOUS! Even through this ugly world, her beauty will always shine through...

This is so very good! Children who do not understand are sometime cruel to others they perceive as different. Well different on the outside, but the same inside. A great piece educating for a better understanding of the world and those in it..... Be safe, Karen
