These are words of truth, wisdom and experience. Experience is a great teacher, and great teachers share theirs with others.

a poem could be many things ... some work, some don't ... some remain alive and others just die and wither away ...

Hey Dre,Welcome to the Den.This is a well written and excellent poem.I have experienced writer's block as well.Sometimes I know exactly what I want to write whether its a poem or a song, but I just have trouble at how I want to write it.Its not easy because it takes a lot of time, focus and dedication.Thank you for sharing this
Writing Unleashed (Poetry) - 6/15/2009 12:27:54 AM
At first, I wrote about that feeling of knowing that you want to say something, but can't quite figure out how to say it.
After that, I more or less knew what I wanted, so I described how I wanted it to be specifically.
The third part consisted of what I was going to do with my words, once I had them.
At that point, I wrote what came to mind as my writer's block was crumbled. I believe that anyone, if they put forth enough effort and aren't overly critical on themselves at the time, can effectively write through that mental block. This proves that belief to me and while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, I'm sure they can write their own proof instead of waiting for a block to pass.
