Sounds delightful Stuart, as I have Scottish-Irish roots. I will have to check it out, when the local library gets a copy.

The Little Book of Stress (Book) - 2/29/2008 11:31:46 AM
With three kids, two jobs, and a husband who leaves his dirty underwear on the floor within inches of the hamper, this book is MY kind of humour! Should be a best seller. Stu and Linda!!

Bruce, the Best Man’s, Address to the Groom at His Wedding. (Poetry) - 6/5/2008 9:32:51 AM
I will go through it Oct 3 2009 with grandson. He has gone with the girl long enough to know what he is getting into. She is an only child so knows she can get what she wants. Love is grand though and glad some still go through with the weddings.

Mines a g&t thanks. Nicely parodied. I bet it sounds well when read aloud.
To a Tattie ( with apologies to Rabbie Burns ) (Poetry) - 2/7/2008 12:41:49 PM

Very good, there's nothing like good Scottish humour.
Boo (Poetry) - 11/1/2007 4:47:58 AM
This is a cute poem most any young child would enjoy. When I taught school, the children really loved poetry, especially the ditties they could quote and sing.

Ha! Not my cat. He's twice as big as my little doxies. He just stands there and waits for everyone to go around him.

LOL - a really clever tail [cat's that is] of love.
Yes, recitation of your poem much better than dueling.

DesideCata (Poetry) - 9/7/2007 6:58:27 PM
A wonderful, funny (and so kitty-true) revision of Max Ehrmann's "Desiderata." Max would have loved this version, and so do I. For its time (1927) Max's prose-poem stood alone as a major classic "new age" piece (40 years ahead of its time). Many of the older AD folks will appreciate this one, Stuart. Write on!
