Amen! Thanks for sharing!
A little Fellow's Plea (Short Story) - 3/6/2009 7:44:10 AM
This was a deep poem, Patricia. Too bad that the people who can change the course of those rivers don't read poetry.

Are All Author's A Little Crazy? (Short Story) - 11/28/2008 7:50:57 PM
You are not alone! All my life people have thought I am funny and maybe just a little weird; now that I spend most of the day writing it occurs to me that they are right! Great article and so true.
Happiness always my friend, Stuart (Australia)

Yes we are and proud of it.I have put a lot of effort into being"crazy" and expect to get my moneys worth for it. When anyone asks me if I'm ok I repoly..."no and don't wanna be."The imagination is a wonderful place to frequent and I shall make many more trips> Nice to meet you Patrica.
Do We Write With The Sprits (Short Story) - 8/26/2008 3:52:09 AM
Wow! Sometimes I feel like I'm writing in a trance of some kind. Tapping into the collective consiousness. I don't know what it is, but sometimes it feels like the stories are writing themselves, and I'm not in the driver's seat at all. But oddly enough, those are the times filled with a calm in my soul, an even keel where thoughts can flow like water, and fingers move without thinking. Great write Patricia!
Be well, always,

I think all authors are a little crazy at times; I know I am to have written nearly 3,300 stories! LOL (I have no life. LOL) Very well penned, Patricia; brava!

Through A Childs Eyes (Short Story) - 5/3/2008 11:36:09 AM
Heartbreak, in effectively penned lines - but yet, courage, too, because you survived. Your words are born from experience, and yet written so that the cycle of abuse ends with you - to save others from the same horror you endured. Excellently penned.
(((HUGS))) love and prayer, karla.

Wow, you are a woman of exceptional strength and character to have survived that. And now to use your emotions to enable your gift for writing is even more fantastic. My own deep seated motivations come from a similar set of circumstances, although I havenít found anyone to pick me up yet. I still hold out the hope that someday I might. It took a lot for you to share that story. I donít know if I would have possessed the strength to tell my own tale.

To true Patricia. I think we do see the world a little differently at times. Although I have a friend who thinks there might be a collective consciousness that we tap into with an acute sensitivity. I for one just think we have to be a little nuts. Good article, and I for one concur with you.

Personally I am proud of my 'insanity';-)but being a 'writer' is a good cover lol. Seriously though I can relate to everything you said and am forever pulling my notebook out of my handbag in the middle of a supermarket because I've just seen something I could turn into a story. It's usually something insignificant but always gets my brain churning. Maybe we are a different breed, who knows?;-)
All the best,

I can definitely relate. I guess that is one of the things that make writing such an enjoyable experience. It gives us all something wonderful to escape to. I just wish my imagination could spell as well as it invents. LOL You have a wonderful day.

LOL! You're not alone! I always fall head over heels for my romance heroes and every time I watch the news or listen to someone telling a story about something that happened to them I catch myself thinking "I can make a story out of that!"
And yes, my characters are far cooler than anyone I've ever met in reality.

I think many of us become writers due to wanting to "escape" such tragedies.
My mother tried to commit suicide by stabbing herself in the stomach with a butcher knife when I was 9 years old... and I was blamed for it my entire life. Still am 20 years later. All because I wanted to live with my father.
I definitely feel you.
Wish I could say I didn't.
