Back To The Basics, Support America (Article) - 11/8/2007 7:40:51 PM
Ron, Amen. AMEN! We start by saying Merry Christmas and writing it out: CHRIST Mas. :) I remember back in the day, when Christmas meant something, other than presents...it was family togetherness, good will toward men, Christmas carols (not "Jingle Bells" or "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer"), going to church...sigh, no more. (((HUGS))) and love, Karla. Excellent reminder, Ron, well done.

*Applause and whistling* AMEN, brother, AMEN!!! Let's put the CHRIST back into CHRISTmas and take that Dangfool X out of Xmas and political correctness/commercialism CRAP outta' it!! Focus on the REAL reason of the Season: JESUS!! (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

America vs Iraq, Which one is safer for our troops (Article) - 10/19/2007 8:44:20 AM
These are not statistics, but actual cases that have been reported to the FBI. Remember there are probably more since some deaths have been misdiagnosed, cause undetermined, or part of the 50k missing people their status unknown. For this reason, plus the fact that statistics can be used for or against any conversation, I will not rely on them. My point is simple American cities and towns are not in the middle of a war zone, Iraq is the combat area. If the war is really lost or going so bad shouldn't we see more American deaths than in our own country?

America vs Iraq, Which one is safer for our troops (Article) - 10/19/2007 7:41:19 AM
Interesting statistics. It's easy to see where the fodder for all those Law And Order TV shows comes from. On the other hand, the U.S. population is about thirteen times that of Iraq. How would these statistics normalize on a per-capita basis between the two countries? Best regards, Leland

56 Men (Poetry) - 10/23/2007 5:04:49 PM
Could not have penned it better! All should stand in tribute to those who sacrificed everything for an ideal they believed in. We all share in the legacy of a dream started so long ago.... Be safe, Karen

Fifty six men who stood up for what they believed in...God bless them for making us a free nation! Well done, Ron. (((HUGS))) and love, Karla. Saw the original Declaration of Independance in 1978, in Philadelphia. :) Also the Liberty Bell. :) The chills that ran up and down my spine!!

In My Father's Time (Poetry) - 10/18/2007 11:09:10 PM
A very wonderful, heartfelt write you have penned. If only we could turn back the clock, but I am afraid that this country as a whole is too far gone. Think it would take a miracle to restore what so many fought and gave their lives for.... Be safe, Karen
