A True Story Of A Heart/Soul Death Break -Episode 1 (Short Story) - 10/28/2007 2:44:35 PM
Rainbow Starburst truly has a gift for writing a captivating story. I was pulled right in and anxiously wait for Episode Two: The Plot Thickens. He writes as I imagine he talks with a friend, sometimes scattered, but always with humor and very entertaining.
TV - The One-Eyed God (Poetry) - 2/28/2009 8:24:32 PM
Without TV, what would shape this nation's values? How would we know who will be the next American Idol? How will we know which club Lindsey Lohan's Appetite for Self-Destruction performance is in tonight? We need TV ... don't we?
Very enjoyable poem. Great job.
Lonely Clown (Poetry) - 8/5/2008 9:12:35 AM
Hope you can find the right one in your life, your soulmate soon. Nothing like having one to love in your life who respects you and treats you as a King. I know you can find someone out there for you. Good write hear, don't ever give up.
Lonely Clown (Poetry) - 7/27/2008 8:46:20 PM
Beautiful, passionate words from so deep within your broken heart. You are not alone, there are many who cry inside, yet outwardly they smile. Walking a path, seldom understood, all because no one stops to take the time.....
Be always safe,
Karen

Sybil! (Poetry) - 6/9/2008 10:40:54 PM
What you get for watching too much television. As for Sybil, I have the movie, had it for years, good movie too! Much rather listen to music of my choice, work in my garden, knit, crochet, cook, needlepoint and of course write. Nice piece, very interesting and maybe even true....

Karen
Sybil! (Poetry) - 6/8/2008 5:22:58 PM
Ah ha, Yes, my brain is programmed or maybe it isn't as bad as I think. That just means I'm delusional. Yes, my numbed out brains from the TV. The whole thing keeps us passive so we won't understand what they are doing to us. Bull. Excellent poem. Liz
Sybil! (Poetry) - 6/8/2008 2:51:23 AM
We must have been watching at the same time. Great old movie ... simply cut to pieces with commercials. Really ruined it. But I got even. Since they ruined my movie - I tuned out their commercials. That'll show 'em :-)

Bob Dylan-Yeh! (Poetry) - 5/26/2008 8:26:42 PM
I always said there must be intelligent live elsewhere...and sure enaugh you found it, you said a mouthful of truth as anyone could write poetry, and with a little luck, the two legged, waterbags down here can read between the lines, and see the sad state of affairs in which we put this planet. Bless you for writing this wise tale of reflection! Jasmin Horst

Bob Dylan-Yeh! (Poetry) - 5/26/2008 5:30:55 PM
Rain, I think you did too much Zwargian acid or are doing so or if not maybe you need to do more...though this does actually say alot, both about how aliens might view this world and how we should view ourselves and laugh at ourselves in the process...watch those lot-lizards where you park that big rig, they will eat you whole...Ed & Rufuz )w00f(
Big Brother In Your Home (Poetry) - 5/15/2008 6:36:58 PM

Rich Men Got No Money (Poetry) - 5/13/2008 12:50:01 PM

Nuclear Hell or Life? (Poetry) - 4/27/2008 5:42:15 AM
Trouble is, without all this conflict, the powerful politicians and military planners would be ... unemployed. And, since they are running things, they will not allow that to happen. If only we could take all of the world's powerful politicians and military planners and ... outsource them to some totally useless jungle planet where they could hunt each other to extinction. But, I am afraid that, among the world's population, there are far too many predators willing to replace them. Terrible situation!
I love your message, though!
Ted

Warning-The Perils Of Internet Dating (Poetry) - 4/26/2008 5:24:08 AM
You are probably aware of MSN Groups hosted by Microsoft. They used to allow Chat Rooms on their Groups. MSN no longer allows Chat Rooms on the Groups, because of issues involving harassment and predators. Most of the communications were good and uplifting, but predators spoiled it for everyone. I work as a volunteer with HaltAbuse.org. We work to knock down the harassers and predators. It is a shame that there is a need for us.
Good one, Rainbow! Write on!

Whose Truth? (Poetry) - 4/26/2008 5:12:26 AM
"Can we all reach a meeting place, when all minds think as one?"
Nope, we cannot. We humans, hormone driven and greed inspired, are too contrary for such mutual gathering.
Gosh, look at all the religions we have, and at all the denominations we have in our own church. We cannot even agree about the nature of God.
Remember that the chasm between individuals is either a predatory or a defensive tool.
Under the circumstances, it is a blessing that a few of us may come together with a few viewpoints in common. We may constantly push for more mutuality, as we will. You will. So will I. That is a beginning.
You have summed up the devisiveness in your poem. Well done!
Ted
Money, Money,Money (Poetry) - 4/25/2008 2:13:00 PM
Having learned many of life's lessons brings one to a turning point of vast decisions. It is not how much or how little money one attains in life, but what is done with that money that matters most. Wonderful write with yet more lessons to be learned....

Karen

Prejuidice and racism (Poetry) - 4/6/2008 3:45:30 PM
the trouble with you "Aliens" is you just can't spell (in our language) The trouble with us "Huming-Beans" is we're just too rooted in the same soil year after year--makes us sing off key I guess...
Enjoy your orbit...Mike

I Got The Amazon Blues (Poetry) - 3/25/2008 11:34:03 AM
Well said and I adore your sense of humor. Look at the upside of all this, you are in the ranks of the "Millions Club". Point being no matter what the numbers, you made the list. What was your sales rank before your book? Bet you were no where to be found. Never give up, always follow your dreams....
Be always safe,
Karen
I Got The Amazon Blues (Poetry) - 3/25/2008 6:26:50 AM
I haven't checked my Amazon rating lately. At one point, it has risen as high as 80,000. The last I saw, it was back in the 2,000,000 range. I don't put much stock in Amazon's precious ranking. From everything I've read, it's horribly skewed.
Cute poem, Rainbow. Have a wonderful day,
Jill
I Got The Amazon Blues (Poetry) - 3/24/2008 11:39:43 PM

Love Hurts - A New Slant (Poetry) - 3/15/2008 11:28:55 AM

Blessings and take care,

TV - The One-Eyed God (Poetry) - 3/11/2008 5:44:29 PM
My uncle who lives in Oregon hasn't had a TV for at least thirty years. I, on the other hand, have a large screen HD 1080. But I only watch a few harmless shows, and love the Discovery Channel. My favorite media are the Sunday comics.
So--no, there are those who don't think you insane, S.R.
I enjoyed the write, thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Leann
TV - The One-Eyed God (Poetry) - 3/3/2008 2:47:01 PM
I concur wholeheartedly! TV is indeed the one-eyed god. Great write! Are you a Hawkwind fan by chance?
Victims (Poetry) - 2/25/2008 4:44:06 PM
A strong voice you have here, for an important message..maybe I ought to call it advice. We struggle with our childhood traumas forever until we decide to lay them to rest...wonderfully expressed!
As for those who would abuse a child...the eternal pest upon them!
Gina
Victims (Poetry) - 2/21/2008 5:10:21 PM
When one recognizes from where the pain stems and faces the demons that surround it, then and only then can one be truly free, wonderfully stated....

TV - The One-Eyed God (Poetry) - 2/13/2008 4:43:23 PM
Good for you, and I agree for the most part...too much TV is mind-numbing. Selective viewing, though, is still a good thing.
