Uncharted Waters (Book) - 4/28/2008 1:59:43 PM
This book cracked me up! He writes so well you feel like you're at sea with a bunch of wacky characters. I almost found it sad to finish the story -- I wanted to keep turning pages and keep laughing!

Sounds like a pretty good read, but when I hit the button for all your reviews it took me to other books on Amazon. It's possible I missunderstood which review I was trying to look up. Terry

They're going to save GM just like they saved
Chrysler. What a great idea, a going out of business bonus paid with taxpayer money.

You have captured the essence of capitalism (I think :-) It's still the best system around and it works if we don't manipulate the process by too many tax dollars.
SF Chron. 05/12/09 Why Pot (Article) - 5/12/2009 4:50:53 PM
You say it like it it, my friend. I went to the little Michigan town of Royal Oak last week and saw a bulletin that announced the soon arrival of a "marijuana center." Having two young daughters, 18 and 21, exposes me to the damaging effects of pot as I meet and get acquainted with their friends who have long practiced its use. Sanctioning pot is condoning the destruction of a generation to come as far as I am concerned. It breakes my heart for the young.

There is so much truth in this post, Carl. I have no doubt your new novel will be a tremendous success. It is definately going on my list of "books I want to read." Hopefully, soon.

I’m afraid it is plain old Jealousy, Carl. It is easier to destroy things and tear them down then to build them. Lazy people of lower intelligence and drive always take the easy way out…such as stealing the fruits of others' labor...rather then working to produce their own fruits.... hence that is why those people are where they are today. Sorry but I will not apologize to their low brain power, character and other short comings.
USA TODAY,03/23/09-Prison Reform (Article) - 3/25/2009 6:20:54 AM
Hi Theodore, I don't think there is such a thing as "prison reform". "The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons" - Fyodor Dostoyevsky
I like your quote in your bio...

USA TODAY,03/23/09-Prison Reform (Article) - 3/24/2009 9:33:11 PM
It may cost less to maintain prisons and inmates, but the risks still remain that these convicts are able to "relocate" back to the US after bribes and manipulations are accomplished. As you said, prison is about safety, but using other countries as "dumpsites" for these unwanted persons never guarantee that purpose. You don't know Asia.

Unfortunately, TSC, that is the 'way of the world,' in which we live--not just California. Most people don't read, analyze, or disern the truths behind shallow words penned by creative minds for the purpose of persuasion, deceit, and perpetuation of their own self-interest. If you happen to believe, as I do, that (as someone has said) "Life is the childhood of our immortality," then you know that those who undermine what is good ie. morality, integrity, and justice, will face the consequences of their deeds in another time, another place.

It's going take a little more time then that....The market might even go up in the immediate short term. You have to give it six months before democrats start nationializing everything, set up price control and establish rationing. But the good news is every one in America, including the illegal aliens will able to go to their local state clinic and get a free asprin whenever they need medical attention. Free healthcare for everyone AT LAST! Then again, no one will have to pay taxes anymore. There will be nothing to tax and nothing to pay the taxes with. Ah change...going from bad to worst, how refreshing.

I agree with you 100%, as a future President must know how to interact, effectively communicate, and negotiate with the media and other world leaders. I have a deep respect and admiration for Caroline Kennedy, and all of the Kennedys. I do not know her thoughts, but I know that I, and many people in Connecticut have alot of concerns about Obama.

I agree with you. Quite simply, I believe that American should be supportive and protective of our country. I am reading your works, and hope to buy your book soon. I am a fairly new author with some of my works on authors den, but I am a little bit nervous about publishing. I plan to start that later on in the fall. I look forward to taking a peak at your writings.
