A Spider's Tale (Short Story) - 1/11/2005 6:54:01 PM
This is different from some of the other spider themed stories that are out there, creative. I too got a few spider stories out there myself but they fall into the horror genre. This reminds me of something that my ex-girlfriend, Jayme Henry, would write.

Finders, Keepers (Short Story) - 8/28/2004 5:27:39 PM
My sister would love this one. She is too young for some of the horror I write but this is the kind of story that I will say will be perfect for her age bracket. Reminds me of some of the horror stories I read in my youth, the scary stories to tell in the dark era horror of the 1980s. It is about as dark as some of the things that R.L. Stine will write and one thing I will say -- keep a close eye on. You got the premise for something longer here.
Finders, Keepers (Short Story) - 8/22/2004 9:48:24 AM

Tom (Short Story) - 9/8/2003 8:41:34 AM
Such a heartwarming story; even kids who appear tough on the exterior aren't as tough as they first seem to be, especially when dealing with children with disabilities; their willingness to help them makes them forget of their own troubles, and they reach out to someone who is in need! Love the message in this story! A story we ALL can learn from! Caring for others starts young; and it is a valuable lesson for all! ((((HUGS)))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D
The Grouping Of Parishioners (Article) - 1/8/2004 10:23:03 AM
Gail, I felt right at home with this fine article. I spent many years in this exact scene. Many many years. I felt exactly what you wrote. Because I have been there and know about it.The grouping was most true and most humorous. There is hypocrisy and the arrogance of "some" but not all. And of course we know this has nothing to do with God. My God will always be my God. I profess His name anywhere and anytime and try hard to be worthy although I know I will never be. But.........I no longer go to church. Great writing. Floria

Its a good one. Could have been devastatingly good.
Monumental people always stand alone. Anything monumental always has to be alone. And since it is alone, it seeks profoundness in its painfully solitary bliss.

To the Lake (Poetry) - 1/9/2004 5:20:27 AM
We have what we call 'The Great Kiwi Bach'. It is iconic to New Zealanders and because we are an island nation, the beach is never far from any of us... With 'To the Lake' you have painted an absolutely perfect picture of that holiday migration we make (some to lakes, but most to the coastlines) every summer to the beach for the making of our family memories which all but the least fortunate of us share!
To the Lake (Poetry) - 1/8/2004 11:03:37 PM

A very interesting write, Gail. Enjoyed it.
Stay... (Poetry) - 11/4/2003 2:05:41 AM
This is in fact very effective poetry. I agree with Ch'erie Perrette. This verse DOES have the ring of truth in it.
Also, your use of the verb "Stay" is highly imaginative. I can see all sorts of double-entendres in it, not the least of which is, "stay = hold to, hold on, keep"
And these verses are very powerful!
Stay this stone of winter's weight
to cast away all fears
Wonderful, in fact!
Stay... (Poetry) - 11/3/2003 8:20:53 PM
I liked this write, it has a ring of real truth, and a call to all those who are hiding themselves away. Maybe I'm off the track, but i liked anyway
