MARATHI POEMS OF SACHIN KETKAR (Poetry) - 4/20/2011 11:08:05 AM
Sachin, methinks we all of us are the words we write, and
vice versa, but none moreso than you, as I detect from these incredibly haunting, painfully crafted poems. -gene.

Pure, undiluted artistry, Sachin. No holds barred in your
overpowering and somewhat disturbing imagery. I'm especially
drawn to the Whitmanesque quality of "Words are the Threads."
I'm delighted that Charlie introduced me to your work.

My favorites: "The Frog", and "Staring Out of the Window During Geography Class". I love the imagery in your poem--the way you're able to shape-shift into anything you look at, then describe it so we can see you as it too. --Charlie

These are amazing. The way you bend words around each other boggles the mind. I can't remember the last time I was as entranced by a poem as when I read The Hunt. Also love A Note and How to Write a Poem ("the shadow puppet of our self between its fingertips" -- now that's genius.
I'm putting your book on my Christmas list. I've got to see more.
