Excellent advice. We are all on a journey. It is the journey of life. How is yours doing? I think that with marketing you got it right. Effort put forth may help to sell one book, one hundred, one thousand, or even millions. But if we touch one life and make a difference, what is that worth? Keep moving and keep on paddling that canoe. Otherwise the river of life will roll right by us. What do you think?

Thanks Lorna. I found your article to be quite interesting information. I used an editor who I believe understood my storyline in Perils & Promises and I believe that there is nothing better than another set of eyes and a touch of anothers' perspective.

Lorna.... great suggestions. I rarely have writer's block, but this gives me ideas I can pass along to friends and writing students of mine. Thanks. JD

Great suggestions Lorna. I have self-published and I hired an editor who, while competent, didn't really understand my story I don't think. People need to select an editor who shows insight and interest in the particular literary mission you are on. I rewrote my book twice after I got it back from her. That's not to say she didn't make some good suggestions - she did but I think it was a Mars Venus thing to some extent. I will be more careful next time. All the best.
