Excellent expression, Dana I find it odd that some people try not to be obvious in their deceit but it sometimes defeats them. This can be compared to the original (father of the lie) Satan, when he deceived Eve and the forbidden fruit turned out to be rotten in its core when they lost this perfection...now he has no escape.
Synthetic Sympathy (Poetry) - 10/12/2012 11:35:39 AM
I feel this way and will continue to do so. Only sympathy after the hurting i've been through... I know a situation like this isn't fun but life goes on.

Good writing, makes sense, it happens to many ,,,,they get locked inside, and lose everything.... noone is the perfect bride.

Another young woman's sad story here. if this is not a work of fiction I feel for you. Our daughter endured a similar situation. She still remains wounded; five years down the road. People use each other anymore like plastic spoons and forks and then dispose of them. A sad state of affairs. Very little honor anymore.

You left me thinking that maybe you spent some time in that cage and now you are announcing how you got out.

The desperation to escape humiliation and pain. We have all been there. 'He took my strength and became my weakness'...I can relate to that if not recently. Very effective lines. By the amount of work you have posted here I am thinking you must be new to the "Den". Welcome. I am already a fan. Be well, Kathy
Synthetic Sympathy (Poetry) - 10/7/2012 7:40:11 AM
This packs a punch. The very phrase 'synthetic sympathy' is attention catching alliteration at its best in my view. Your symbolism is clever without being so criptic the reader is distracted by it rather than engrossed by it. Very nice work. Be well, Kathy

Dana, this touched my heart. Simultaneously it speaks of connection and loss. Love and loss. You have set up a story here that the poem completes but I could see it becoming a love story as well. I feel every word is needed and enhances the poem but I love the last part the best. "Follow you path, I'll follow mine, and all souls meet-in the end. So wonderful. Be well, Kathy

Let it go, and be free, trusting the Lord.
I have friends from Ukraine, Valentina, Svenanna and others, and they love England and England loves them...

Powerfully emotive and meaningful, Dana. Sadly, it is a common theme on this chaotic world. You do end on an empowering note though. Thank you for sharing your sentiments. Welcome to AD. Love and best wishes,
