A Funny Name For a Cat (Humor) (Short Story) - 2/25/2009 12:43:32 AM
Very good story.
One line stopped me though
.What are you going on about? I asked..
It's so unusual sentence. If it stops other readers too, may be change to "What are talking about?" or something else. It's not good to make the reader reread the line.

I thought this story was really cute! Donald Duck is a funny name for a cat but I heard of people calling their dog stupid! lol
You were very tolerant of that rude neighbor of yours. I am sure the cat didn't like her much either!
neat story! thanks for sharing!

Night Wind (Horror) (Short Story) - 10/8/2008 1:09:20 AM
Night Wind gave me the shivers. Not just any shivers. I recognized these particular shivers. They were the same particular shivers I got long ago whilst reading Poe. Well done, Paul. Well done, indeed. :-)
Werewolf Made (Horror/SciFi) (Short Story) - 10/8/2008 12:51:38 AM
I thought this was a good story, the description was first rate, and i was always dreading the fact near the end that carolyn might have already been turned into a werewolf and that she was going to kill the main charcater at the end but was relieved when this didnt happen, i also found the plot a bit formulaic and dull but the writing kept my interest, thanks for the read and if you get the chance please check out and even leave a review for my story 'a long way to fall' by zahid zaman

Loved it, I personally play golf and am at step twelve. My age only allows me to remember the first four so I keep playing. Seriously your story was great and a lot of fun. One of the best I have read in quite some time.

I hope you don't give up writing. This was great! Oh and you might get more relief from your arthritis if you take Aleve instead of plain aspirin. Just kidding! I don't want to do the 14 things thing. Fantastic work!

Obama's Government Take Overs and Such (Article) - 7/31/2009 2:04:28 PM
A one-term administration that is bringing our great nation to ruin.
Obama's Government Take Overs and Such (Article) - 7/30/2009 3:41:12 PM
Paul, I so agree with all that you say. I never had the slightest amount of faith in Obama and the more I see and hear of him and his, in my opinion, politically evil cohorts, the less I have and the more fear I have for the future of my country. As far as Republicans go, as I stated in my poem: Sara Palin, A Real Lady, after continual requests for donations from and for both National and State, the only money I contribute in the future is for and to Sarah.
Thank you for a great article, Mark.
Obama's Government Take Overs and Such (Article) - 7/30/2009 2:15:51 AM
We stood by and let them ban God from our schools, courts, businesses, governement, media, and daily lives. The name God is now only tolerated if you are attacking or mocking him. Hence, we are no longer one nation under God with God given rights. This Obama hates America and Americans and the American way of life. It's like Israel electing a Jew hating Nazi to run their government. We are now facing the sama holocust Russia experienced in thirties. The majory of people in this country have elected Stalin and now we are all going to pay the price big time. Be it death by regiolnal famines, revolution or civil war, death is on the march and Obama is the leader of the band. God help us!
Economic Crisis (Article) - 7/28/2009 3:53:35 PM
PAUL - WELL DONE!
I've watched several Documentaries, which explicitly confirm this scenario. although I may stand 'corrected' by you - does not Robert Williams below state essentially what I wrote in my 'Crooks In Congress? In fact, he MERGES the two parties together as 'Demo-publican.
"If you remember since 1989, Daddy Bush declared a "New World Order", then it's rather easy to see our Democrats and Republicans as two sides of the same corportist coin, just as Labour and Tories have shown themselves to be the same in Britain. Our one-party, Demo-publican Party system serves the power elite well, to everyone's detriment."
Since, FDR - a Republican, the best thing that ever happened to America - it has all been DOWNHILL since! 64 YEARS of DEMS/REPS ... all controlled by CORPS.!
Peace - Tom.

Yet Another Email From My Brother (Article) - 5/30/2009 12:06:46 PM
When I read this, I know why America is no longer great. And it's nothing to do with Obama, but rather the bitterness and delusions of right wing (defeated) America.
Hopefully Obama is the cure.
Yet Another Email From My Brother (Article) - 5/29/2009 11:24:43 AM
People read this and think of it as a fairy tale and laugh-but it is the truth, perhaps told in a humorous way. Those that voted this administration into office cannot yet see the damage they have caused. They cannot see or better yet will not see America is on the road to destruction and there is little that can be done at this point. It will take an utter and complete downfall of this country before they admit their mistake and by then all will be lost. What is wrong with people? Can't they see that the idiots are running the asylum? Can't they look at Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Waxman, Murtha, Shumer, Biden, and the rest of those goons and figure out that we are in trouble? What does it take to open their eyes?
Faith vs Faith (Article) - 5/26/2009 12:38:34 PM
You are a very funny man, Keith. You really should consider a career in comedy. When it comes to the science’s you mention, some of which we no longer ‘believe’ in but ‘know’ about, of course we Christians accept these things. I see that you have completely (purposely, I think) missed my point. By the way, the appendix thing you mentioned shows that you really need to do some more research. They have discovered that the appendix was a necessary organ in the development of that thing you like to call a fetus. This is why I mentioned science makes mistakes. If they look around long enough, maybe they will continue to find God’s handiwork just as they have here. I have no idea about giraffe necks, but since you have so little true understanding of the appendix thing, I don’t think it wise to accept your explanation about giraffes.
Expanding universe? So what? What does that prove? Science? Hardly. No, only that science has discovered this fact. You say, “So this proves the big bang, or at least provides some evidence of it.” I say, “So God made it that way. It was the method he used to make it happen.” How is your answer any more scientific than mine? It’s not. It’s called faith. I say, “If there was a big bang, God made it happen.” You say, “If there was a big bang, it happened by accident.” Who is right? By the way, “science” should really rename this so-called event, because the name itself is against what we know from science. You see, if there was just a vast empty vacuum of outer space and somehow an explosion happened – there would be no bang. There is no sound in outer space. Also, you said that science freely admits that the concept of a state preceding the big bang is difficult – that’s where you are wrong – it is not difficult at all, it is impossible scientifically. But you believe it. Hum - sounds like blind faith to me.
You, as every Christian hater I have ever met, like to say that religion has given us wars. First of all, we’re not talking about ‘religion’. We are talking about God, science and Christian religion – not “Religion” covering other types of religion. But since you brought it up, do you really think that “War” is caused by Christianity? You will, no doubt point first to the Crusades. Fine, you’re right. There were other battles fought as well. Many more however, in regards to Christians, were attacks against Christians and Christianity. And what about all the other wars in the world? Were any of these fought over something other than Christianity? Of course they were. Most wars have been fought over territory, greed, natural resources, man’s lust for power, etc. But, you worshipers of Science like to point to those caused by Christianity. Why? Because you hate Christians, probably because they call out your god Science. And it is also worth noting that if it wasn’t for science providing the destructive tools of war, we would still be fighting with sticks and stones instead of weapons of mass destruction.
Finally, I hate to break it to you, but science has NOT disproved what you call, the creation myth. What it has done over the years, however, is prove that along with its many wonderful and useful discoveries, it has also developed a belief system that God haters love to worship. They have created their own god called “Science” which they fervently, jealously and fanatically display an admirable grand measure of blind faith. Accept for the many scientists that do, in fact, believe in God, of course. There are many, just not as many.
Thank you, Keith, for commenting on my article and for quite nicely proving my point.
Faith vs Faith (Article) - 5/26/2009 12:44:47 AM
I disagree. Without science we'd still be throwing bones instead of transplanting organs, and walking instead of flying. Without science, you and I would probably not be alive - how many times has science saved your life? Who do you go to see when you're ill: A doctor or a faith healer? As for origins of species, and the proof for evolution, think of your appendix, or the routing of arteries through a giraffe's neck in completely senseless ways - is this design?!!!.
Like many religious people, you deny science even whilst benefiting from its bounty.
With respect to cosmic origins, science freely admits that the concept of a state preceding the Big Bang is difficult, as time itself unfolds as a function of space. And yes - science has proved the universal expansion again and again and again. Try and open your mind a little and conceive of four dimensional space-time unwrapping in a five-dimensional envelope - that's the best way to conceive of space as expanding at every point. And here's the rub: science has METHOD. It's hardly surprising that many scientific hypotheses have proven incorrect - that's exactly what happens when humans exercise their minds and speculate intelligently. The theories that do prove correct give us medicine, space flight, and insights into the nature of reality. Without it we'd still be living on a flat earth praising Zeus or Jehovah or some other fictitious being amid the squalor of our all too brief and sordid lives.
Religion on the other hand has given us war, strife, division and the concept of ignorance as a virtue. FYI I am a somewhat spiritual person, but I do not permit this to interfere with my rational faculties, as do all too many religious folk.
Final thought - it is SCIENCE THAT DISPROVES FALSE THEORIES - SUCH AS CREATION MYTHS, STATIC UNIVERSE THEORIES, VENUSIAN CANALS, ETERNAL AND UNCHANGING HEAVENS, FAITH HEALING AND GENERAL QUACKERY,AND SO MUCH MORE.
Hood luck with the faith healers!
NICE JOKE (Article) - 5/16/2009 9:47:33 AM

When Obama Speaks - People Listen. But do they hear? (Article) - 5/13/2009 1:19:08 PM
It never ceases to amaze me how Obama can stand up and lie to the people and they believe him. Am I the only one to see the truth and know this man is telling another lie? He isn't that great an orator in my estimation-I've heard better many times. He can't speak without a teleprompter-anybody can read! So the question remains-what is it he has-the only thing remaining is race-don't think it is that. He has the press in his back pocket along with the ignorant and the uninformed and the diehard Democrats. Now we are on to something--do we have that many ignorant, uninformed and diehard Democrats in this nation who have banded together to make Obama's following? Then the remainder of the folks should be the informed, intelligent, Republican, conservative, Independent and other parties. It should be a cinch to get Obama thrown out of office in 2012-everything is in our favor. What do you say folks? Lets get rid of as many of these Democrats as we can in 2010 and 2012.

When Obama Speaks - People Listen. But do they hear? (Article) - 5/11/2009 12:54:44 PM
The Messiah speaks and the uninformned listen, and, as you say "fawn." Democrats do not hear! Democrats will not allow their minds to accept the fact that they elected a man that, quite possibly, may mean the end of America as you and I know it. Democrats heads are set in concrete and buried in the sand. God help America, and our children.

Of course Obama was in charge. How do I know that for sure? If the Navy Seals had been in charge like they should have we would have had four dead bastards. Like it was, there was a liberal in the woodpile-one of the pirates is still alive. I thought we didn't negotiate with terriosts!

You are right in a way, Paul. However, that's not the way it works. You see Obama can do no wrong. Just ask the media. In particualar how about that CNN reporter who attacked the Tax protestor and his kid. How dare you people critize OUR government.

This is just one more example of the garbage he puts out. Most of us knew he was telling a lie because his lips were moving--no needd to check the numbers! Its like John says. Its not a presidency. Its a hoax in every sense of the word. How long can he keep this up? How long can he keep this many people fooled?

Peter's Commentary on the Christian Walk (Article) - 3/8/2009 6:58:19 PM
Hello Paul,
The Christian Church has failed in her purpose, it has involved itself in politics, and some "Christians" in government give Christianity a bad name. "Each tree is recognized by its own fruit."(Luke 6:44) and the Church is made up of imperfect people, but in Matthew 13:24-26
Jesus told of a parable where the Master sowed good seeds, but an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat. In the last part He said:
"Let both grow together until the harvest." The Christian church will never be perfect, neither will Christians be. The only way to have power to "walk the talk" is for a Christian to remain a "branch"
attached to the "True Vine" Jesus Christ.

The Coronation of a King (Article) - 1/22/2009 3:07:10 PM
My dear friend, Reginald,
I am hardly underestimating the wisdom of a people who voted for a man because of his color, a people who didnt care about his background and his ties with people who openly hate this country. This is a man who wont even produce a valid birth certificate and the people just dont care. If a Republican had any of this in his background, the story would have been quite a different one. If a Republican, for example, would ever admit to having used cocaine, the press would destroy him and the people would never elect him but its different for Barack Obama. It was different with Bill Clinton as well, because the press loved him and told only the good until they had to tell the bad but even then, they fell all over themselves (for the most part) covering and excusing away all his snafus. No, Im afraid I did indeed overestimated the American people before the campaign. Now, Im afraid I see the truth, the truth that I dont think your bias will allow you to see yet. But, hey, lets both hope Im wrong and youre right. Ive been wrong before; I suppose there is an outside chance it could happen again - LOL.
How can you say that I give the press too much credence? Were you sleeping through the campaign? The mainstream press (CNN, MSNBC,CBS, ABC, NBC and all the major print media along with the Hollywood Crowd including Saturday Night Live - all except FOX News and Talk Radio) actively, openly and quite unashamedly campaigned for Obama, and did everything in their power to win for him the Presidency. They have far too much invested in this man to ever admit that they were wrong. That isnt something the Press knows how to admit to. Also, the electorate will not vote him out. They wont for at least three reasons. 1) The electorate, like the press, doesnt like to admit mistakes. 2) They would have to admit that our first black President failed they will see that as bad for the country, a place where we the people have failed, not him. 3) Because they very well may not know of any shortcomings because the Press will either not report it. Or when the absolutely must report it, because conservative news outlets like the ones before mentioned, force them too, they will do as they did with Clinton. They will attack the messenger or cry They do it too in that agenizing whine of theirs. They will explain it all away and do pretty much what I said in my article.
Destroy his reputation? Can you explain how that is done please? If his reputation has not been destroyed by what we already know about him, and it evidently is not (yours and mine would be but not his), then how is it even possible to ever do that? He is and will continue to be another Bill Clinton made of Teflon. Again, I cut and paste what I said above here now:
But, hey, lets both hope Im wrong and youre right. Ive been wrong before; I suppose there is an outside chance it could happen again.

Nature Praises Him (Poetry) - 1/15/2009 10:33:34 AM
I love the phrase: "Gentle be the flowers blowing on the wind in meadows fair." I knew the God of Nature long before I could relate to Him as God my Saviour. It was not enough--but the revelation of his greatness and beauty in things he has made made me long for more of him and as Jesus promised, those who seek will find.
