Twas the Night Before Christmas (Poetry) - 12/23/2007 10:48:37 AM
hmm, very well said in all your words. i am sure your children loved you reading this to them. and no you did not step on the original at all. i read that as if it was something i wrote for my own children when they were young. however, wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season and never let your thoughts miss the paper for they are our precious gift we give each other. always, randy

Dr. Penelope E Amundsen, Thankyou for your comment Dr. Penelope E Amundsen but I must correct your belief that this was a valiant effort to re-interpret the original version with my take on it. That was not my intentions and can't be further from the truth. This was a challenge I entered through the Starlitecafe which we were to take this phrase "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and inocrporate it into our own poem. This poem was written with my Children in mind and was drawn from personal expeiences not from the actual version of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" Contrary to what you thought by this write, this has nothing what so ever to do with the actual version and is not any different than a movie or song for example in which two very different movies or songs have the identical titles yet are two very different stories to be told. I am sorry you saw this as "little to be desired" without the facts behind the write first and foremost. Merry Christmas and have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season! Regards JstImagine4Once

Lovingly tended is this patch of love needing a little nourishment in order to grow . . . Caution: Men who say their hearts have been broken by all the women they have been intimate with usually have a minor-to-major defect themselves . . . I speak from personally knowledge here . . . Welcome to AD, I hope you won't take my caution the wrong way, it is just some qualified advice . . .
