Fragments of Regret (Short Story) - 3/12/2004 11:36:19 AM|
good start, armonii, but you need to work on your spelling and punctuation. still, not a bad story! would like to read more of your work! (i am not really critical of people's works, but you especially have to work some more on your punctuation.)

A Food Alternative (Article) - 10/4/2014 5:52:42 PM
Ron, I thought it was a satire of the movie as well but it is very real, not sure why they named it that. When I speak of food lovers I don't mean people who just love to eat and not care what it does to the health and body. True food lovers know how important the food we eat affects us. So we try and stick to the things that are more natural and are healthy for the mind and body. I also agree Ron that all these food fads are dangerous and should be avoided.
A Food Alternative (Article) - 10/4/2014 7:52:27 AM
That may be simply a satire. Soylent Green was the name of the food in the 1973 movie of the same name starring Charlton Heston. The green glop they were eating in a post-apocalyptic world was reconstituted human corpses.
I worry a lot about food lovers. While companionship and good food is always to be enjoyed, it should not become a passion or way of life. I've seen too many people die, many in misery, from overeating or eating the wrong food most of their lives. Because we have food so readily available, most Americans make poor choices and are eating the wrong food for the wrong reasons.
If we are going to remain as happy as a child with a treat as we age, we need to pay attention to our food so that we can remain healthy until our days are through. Moderation and selection will do a lot to that end… Along with reasonable exercise that most people neglect to get in their rush for convenience and comfort food.
Food fads like this so-called Soylent you write of are usually very dangerous and should be avoided regardless of the pitch of their sellers.

Waking The Latent (Poetry) - 9/28/2014 6:18:12 PM
Powerful poetic verses throughout. When we let The Lord in there is nothing He cannot do. Even with a broken vessel covered with doubt. Amen!

Girl 2 Women (Poetry) - 4/24/2007 8:33:13 AM
And only the truth sets you free. Free to be free indeed. Now hold your head high, and press on. You are still beautiful, and God will send you true love when the time is right. But this time Depend more on God and not on man and what you long for will be reality.
Thanks for sharing!
Stuck in Yesterday (Poetry) - 4/24/2007 8:27:48 AM
You had me hooked all the way through...I use to have a saying that helped me during those bleak times and it went like this 'this is going to be the only Tuesday I get this week, I'm gonna make the best of it.'
Thanks for writing,
Stuck in Yesterday (Poetry) - 4/24/2007 8:22:38 AM
Captured is all I can say about this wonderful work! You said exactly what I feel on many occasions. "Sometimes I can't tell whether or not I'm dreaming, I'm captured in a moment, a space, a place, captured in time. No forward, no backwards, just stillness. Will it end? Do I want it to end?
Thanks for sharing and reminding me to say good-bye to yesterday. Maybe now I can embrace today.

This is truly beautiful. A spiritual connection is the ultimate. People pay for a physical connection all of the time, but no amount of money will ever buy what you already have with this person. God be with you.

The Storm (Poetry) - 7/16/2004 12:44:05 PM
Ok I have always said to others the following: No matter how bad the storm or rain is just focus hard enough and you shall see a bright sunshine beyond the storm. Must people at one time have probably been right in the middle of a similar storm in their life.
