Lessons in Love (Poetry) - 11/24/2012 1:25:12 AM
Hi Nate, Love is a great topic. We can't really explain it; we can't see it; we become very emotional because of it; we can't live long without it; yet we know that it is this incredible invisible force that can take us by storm. Thanks Nate. I'll go to my writing mode room now and write a new poem. Peace be with you, John Michael Domino

Lost (Poetry) - 12/14/2009 3:03:44 PM
Its nice to "stumble" into this at a time Mr Woods is having his time in the media for the wrong reasons. But it did afford me a platform to seat and absolve the whole essence of this poetry. Its well fitting and I wish Mr Woods can find some healing from the lines.."I so deserve my pain Iíll pray somewhere within Godís plan Iíll reach her heart again" Cheers Santiago

Another You (Poetry) - 8/22/2008 11:47:04 AM
Love means appreciating the person for who they really are. You have expressed yourself so well, and obviously you have shown your appreciation for the person in your life. I love the way you have shown that you notice the person's sense of humor and the simplicity of her smile. Your writing reflects your admiration, appreciation, and love that you have for this special person in your life.

Easter Gift (Poetry) - 8/22/2008 11:45:10 AM
Easter has always been a time for new beginnings for me. It is always a time of reflection. I often decide, which habits do I want to overcome? Also, Easter means finding the new path, or mending the relationships that may have fallen apart in the winter. There is always someone special who has given us light, or who has directed us on to the right path. You have expressed this so beautifully in your work.

Our Wild Rose (Poetry) - 8/22/2008 11:42:02 AM
This is a beautiful poem written from the heart. It is true that love is like a rainbow, as you see the vibrant colors in each day that you spend with your loved one. Sometimes, when you are in love, you notice that the things around you are more colorful, or maybe you stop and take the time to look at the things that you did not notice before. Love makes us notice the things around us, and we appreciate the sunset and rainbows. I love the way you express your thoughts in your poem. My favorite part of the poem are the words, "Although we are apart Across the miles, strong roots will roam And bind inside the heart." I know that this is so true. No matter how far away that you may be from the person you love, nothing can break the bond. I beleive that when you are in love with someone, the anticipation and excitement of your journey back to each other makes the experience more beautiful. I was in a long distance relationship for many years, and each time I was reunited with him, I felt like I was "coming home" with such warmth around me. Once you see a rainbow, you remember it forever. That is the way love is. You are very talented, and your poem struck a chord in my heart. Please stop by my den when you have a chance. I would love to hear what you have to say about my work. I will track your work because I absolutely love your style. Most of all, your words brought back some beautiful memories for me.

Sun-Filled Beam (In Memory of Jill's Dad) (Poetry) - 7/2/2008 7:08:16 PM
This is telling her his spirit will always be with her, an I agree on that. I need to know that my hubby Tom's spirit is always with me too, and you said it the way that I know it is true. Your soul's still in his sight, that has comforted me some also and I am sure it did Jill. Sorry for her loss, but we have to go on living and writing and sharing. God Bless You and Jill too.

Sun-Filled Beam (In Memory of Jill's Dad) (Poetry) - 7/2/2008 5:17:52 PM
Nate, This is beautiful and my tears are streaming. I have no doubt that Dad would have wanted me to keep writing. There weren't many things in this world that brought him greater joy than my poems and my successes, as the result of them. Thank you, dear, Jill

Our Wild Rose (Poetry) - 6/25/2008 7:32:25 PM
Long distance relations are hard, but can be very loving too. When you do get together it is all rosy and nice. The rose is a strong plant and endures until the first frost in the fall. All summer long your love blossoms and then grows much over the winter too. Every season is for the love of your life. Take care and may you have a lovely time when you do get together.

Our Wild Rose (Poetry) - 6/14/2008 8:53:58 AM
What a great simile for a poem. Someone planted one in my yard before I bought the property. It travels underground and comes up next to any other rose I've planted that it can find and attempts to crowd them out. I keep cutting the shoots back and the mother plant just gets stronger and seemingly more determined. Great poem Nate.

Nate, I know. Believe me, I know. You know I love family and I know you do as well. Being away from everyone, especially as costly as travelling is these days, is not easy. For reasons beyond the obvious, I hope someone comes to take your "home" off your hands for you, soon! Thanks for answering the challenge and hey, you can never be too lonely, these days; even with the distance, you still have me! Many hugs (and don't work too hard), Jill
