What is a Slave? (Article) - 3/11/2008 7:40:52 AM
I see slavery as a deeper form of submission. Like many Dom's I don't want, or need, a sub or slave who is as you put it "a mindless twit"; I want one who, when called on for an opinion, can not only give one but can give good reasons for her opinion. It is my feeling that SUBS ARE NOT DOORMATS they are strong, confident people who because of character traits choose this method of expressing their love for that special someone. As one sub I talked to said "you cannot exchange what you don't have" an abused person has no power to exchange.

What is a Power Slave (Article) - 3/11/2008 7:35:27 AM
I agree that subs/slaves often do put their needs aside in order to make sure that the one they serve has what he/she needs; the term powerslave is awkward. This term appears to indicate that subs/slaves are pigeon holed by their position; in my relationship this is not the case. My slave was a single mom for many years before she and I got together, in the course of out 7+ years real time I have seen her swing from something like a dominant(try telling a 25 year old daughter what to do) to total submission and subservience.
The other thing I wonder about is do we really need another name for someone in this lifestyle?
Be Well
