I have been a spectator in rehearsals enough to understand exactly what these two lines mean.
Loved the complete poem, Shay, but were just touched more by these two lines.

Brilliant and poignant writing Shay.
I too am 43 and named Christine...and have to be screened every six months for breast cancer. I too lost a cousin, very young, and so many in the family have been struck by it.
I feel so blessed to be healthy, and although I complain of my figure being too skinny, I guess it is a gift not to be too curvy in my situation.
