Hadad, The Innkeeper's Journey (Cradle to Cross Trilogy (Book) - 11/11/2008 10:59:36 AM
Once again you look at the Christmas story through the eyes of another - Hadad, The Barkeep, whick he seems to much perfer over a keeping of the Inn. Your character captures a work of historical fiction well and it will be a fun read aloud in front of the family fire during the holidays. A toast to Mac McConnell for pulling Hadad out of the corners of our mind and placing him into our hearts. Jodee Kulp

Bozra, A Shepherd's Journey (Cradle To Cross Trilogy (Book) - 9/12/2008 10:13:53 PM
Mac, Bravo! Bravo! My hat is off to you. My heart took to flight upon finding and reading your writings here. And what God has recently put on my heart has now been confirmed. I must do it. I have been doing it. For the last couple of days I have been working feverishly to write a story from the Bible which has been close to my heart for some time. I also asked God to send me the one who will be instrumental in helping me get it published. I also have plans for an immediate three more. But they do not have to be out before the election. I am so excited. Time is of the essence. It must be published before the presidential election for it's impact to be meaningful. Maybe I'd be wise to pray for another three or so month delay in declaring a winner. And from what I hear about the new voting process here in Florida, it just might happen again. Not the hanging chads this time but various other mishaps. In any case I love what I read about you and your work. Carry on Mac, and blessing to you. Peace, Razz

Forever Changed, A Journey in Jericho (Book) - 3/25/2008 11:23:39 AM
Your writing places the reader into the spirit of the character, in this case the tax collector, Zacchaeus. His struggle with fate versus his dream places him on a path of little return, albeit a treasury of golden wealth. What becomes of us when we sell our souls to our profession. Through miraculous twists of a different kind of fate - he becomes Forver Changed. Once again, great job Mac.

Bozra, A Shepherd's Journey (Cradle To Cross Trilogy (Book) - 3/25/2008 10:59:58 AM
A slam dunk. Bozra misses the coming of the Messiah while tending sheep on the 5th watch. Mac, your writing is crisp and clear running parallel to many lives even two thousand years later. The ending says it all.

I Got Dem Carousel Blues (Short Story) - 8/8/2009 1:36:52 AM
What ever happened to those friendly skies? I gess they have gone out the door as did morals and common sence. Amen?

Jesus Kicked out of City Hall (Article) - 2/8/2010 8:39:42 AM
aMEN! I have thought many of the same things you have expressed here. There is a blatant double-standard in this world. Christians are expected to tolerate everything in this world, but the world need not tolerate Christ and His. But we believers were forewarned by our Lord that this world would hate us. And so we keep shinning His light into this whole world, while they keep trying to blow us out. Why? For the glory of God, and for the love of the lost. Keep on keeping on Mac! ~Zach

Self Publish? Are You sure? (Article) - 2/8/2010 8:13:08 AM
Hi Mac! I read your bio...just picked it out of the blue, and was immediately interested because you mentioned the Lord. So, that led me to read this article. Excellent! I've self-published a book as an act of worship and so the money is not important to me. I have a great job, and so don't really need the money. I understand what you mean, you write in a very clear concise manner which I believe God gifted you with. There is a COST to doing all the leg work yourself, but when the Lord is in it, and it's for Him...it is so worth it!! May The Lord bless your obedience! ~Zach

I agree! Amen!

Self Publish? Are You sure? (Article) - 1/5/2009 2:51:17 PM
Mac, Thank you for the wisdom shared in this article. I write because I believe God has gifted me to do so. And since it's not about me, it's not about the money either...blessings, Frances

Drama Tips for your Public Persona (Article) - 3/1/2008 6:35:28 PM
This makes perfect sense - when I watch actors performing, I can tell the difference between those who have been able to lose themselves in the role and the ones who have worked on acting "technique". I can admire technique, but get caught up with the power of a true "believer's" performance.
