A Cut Above ( Is no Longer available) (Book) - 4/7/2009 11:54:28 AM
I have read this book and it is very good. As the title mentions, it is a cut above traditional poetry in a style of its own.

My Antique Chair (Poetry) - 11/23/2013 7:03:50 PM
Beautiful memories coming from your antique chair! Excellent! I haven't been on in awhile. I lost my precious dog to cancer last week. Its been very difficult with him.
Love and blessings,
My Antique Chair (Poetry) - 11/22/2013 8:45:49 AM
Wonderful poem filled with nostalgia and remembrance. I have an old couch and chair that I'm told was 1928 wedding furniture from the couple that sold me the cottage that it was in, but I suspect that it's much older. Makes me wonder what kinds of going on occurred on that couch that my father found great to nap on.
My Antique Chair (Poetry) - 11/22/2013 6:41:35 AM
Wow! Absolutely beautiful, Michael!!!
Veterans & Armed Forces of the United States of America (Poetry) - 11/15/2013 12:37:48 PM
Michael, this is a wonderful poem about Veterans, they are the
stronghold of America, without them where would this great country
of ours be? We are the Home Of The Brave And The Land Of The Free,
All Due to the Veterans, I Love Them All. God Bless and Keep everyone of them. Amen
Veterans & Armed Forces of the United States of America (Poetry) - 11/12/2013 7:21:23 AM

Welcome To Michigan (Poetry) - 10/27/2013 10:27:58 AM
Perfect description of northern weather. It's amazing that anything survives at all, let alone thrive like it does.
Welcome To Michigan (Poetry) - 10/26/2013 8:46:30 AM
A very vivid description of winter's landscape in Michigan. I know the terrain well, and left many divots in her well-manicured pastures. I guess I never stopped to smell the roses quite the way you have. Well done!
Welcome To Michigan (Poetry) - 10/26/2013 3:48:52 AM
Wonderfully expressed Michael.
I love how you see the positive side of the coin.
I love how you see the glass half full and not empty.
I love how you see the Lord in all things He has made.
You are a brother in Christ, for I see the same way...
Peace, Christ Love and Blessings,
Love The Skin You Are In (Poetry) - 10/3/2013 8:53:34 AM
Very nicely done, Michael...we are brothers and sisters
Love The Skin You Are In (Poetry) - 10/3/2013 7:59:58 AM
A very good wake-up call for everyone to heed. I only have two caveats:
To paraphrase Dr. Martin Luther King, we should never allow skin color to determine the character of the person within. Everyone should take the time it takes to know that character before making any judgment about any person. Talk to them. What they say will reveal their true character and not some preconceived notion.
Secondly, do not let that colorful skin stretch too much. By allowing that to happen, one's self-worth takes a big blow when looking in that mirror that doesn't lie.
Love The Skin You Are In (Poetry) - 10/3/2013 2:11:55 AM
and love the skin you are in

I Will Draw All Men Unto Me (Poetry) - 8/21/2013 4:42:32 AM
AMEN! A beautiful and inspiring poem. There are some people in this world who don't believe in Heaven or hell. Who don't even believe in God. I don't understand how they can function day by day without Jesus living in their hearts. Keep reaching out, my Christian brother.
Love and blessings,
I Will Draw All Men Unto Me (Poetry) - 8/12/2013 9:34:51 PM
Well said Michael Jones.

You Love Us So Much Lord (Poetry) - 7/31/2013 3:58:38 PM
You know, as much as we love the Lord in our hearts it cannot compare to how much our Lord loves us. Our earthly souls cannot comprehend the deep love He has for His children! One day we will understand. Beautiful inspirational poem!

Give Anyway Just A little More (Poetry) - 7/11/2013 3:48:22 PM
What an amazing world this would be if we gave love instead of bias to one another...Humanity has a horrible history...and its' not improving at all...we've come so far with everything but the things that really matter...
Give Anyway Just A little More (Poetry) - 7/11/2013 2:07:14 PM
Yes giving more means you will be blessed abundantly! Well done!!
Peace, love and abundant blessings,

A. S. A. P. ( As Soon As Possible) (Poetry) - 7/7/2013 5:32:59 PM
You hit the nail on the head with this one. OUTSTANDING, my brother. You covered The Challenger, and yes I remember it like it was yesterday. Christy was a school teacher and lost her life that day. You covered Columbine, such a tragic event. This is sheer brilliance. God bless you always.
Give Anyway Just A little More (Poetry) - 7/7/2013 5:28:18 PM
LOVE is the answer to all the hatred, wars, ill will toward others. If people would OPEN their hearts and SEE the world as it is and CHANGE it starting with them. When we get to Heaven, NO MORE wars, or hate.
Give Anyway Just A little More (Poetry) - 7/7/2013 4:19:37 PM
I fully agree with your views, nicely written , beautiful thoughts!
A. S. A. P. ( As Soon As Possible) (Poetry) - 7/2/2013 5:27:29 AM
AMEN! Life seemed to be so much simpler back then...One particular line in this resonates with me..."If only earth could satisfy us here"...awesome!
Passing Through (Poetry) - 6/28/2013 11:51:58 AM
Just as the classic rock band 'Kansas' song sings (Dust in the wind)
which happens to be one of my favorite songs, this short piece reminds me of. Well done!
Passing Through (Poetry) - 6/27/2013 10:29:14 AM

Passing Through (Poetry) - 6/26/2013 7:51:25 AM
so very true
Passing Through (Poetry) - 6/26/2013 6:34:16 AM
In so few words you have piqued that curious eye. I agree, we are all just 'passing through' ... but my question is, ... how is life eternal if you are dead? An extremely interesting write.
Memorial Day (Poetry) - 5/28/2013 4:07:49 AM
And they sure do deserve our gratitude...without them where would we be...
A Prayer For Moore, Oklahoma (Poetry) - 5/21/2013 6:17:59 AM
Why would God do such a thing? The people of Moore were no more sinful than any other people as far as I know. I think we have to stop blaming God for vengeance on people and turning to God every time there is a disaster caused by the weather. We should get our priorities straight and help the people in need, not spend countless hours in prayer.
A Prayer For Moore, Oklahoma (Poetry) - 5/21/2013 5:14:47 AM
Amen! Such a sad day for so many...
Easter (Poetry) - 4/1/2013 4:07:26 PM
He is also the God of mine! Praise Him that He died on the cross for all our sins. All we have to do is ACCEPT and BELIEVE in Him.
Blessings and Peace,
Easter (Poetry) - 3/31/2013 10:28:18 AM
PASTORALE: By John W. Welsey (Poetry) - 3/25/2013 8:17:35 AM
Helsey's poem is an example of proselytizing at its best.
PASTORALE: By John W. Welsey (Poetry) - 3/24/2013 1:36:34 PM
A Great poem John W!
You helped me write a new poem too:
Sharing His Love
We like to share His word in a pharmacy or a grocery store.
We share while we wait on line for things. We never get bored!
When we sit down to eat in public praying is still OK these days.
Then we tell the server that we like to serve them as well and pray.
Most love that we will take time with them to pray and show we care.
For a life full of prayer is a blessing because Jesus is always near.
Your Love (Poetry) - 3/6/2013 7:06:07 AM
This has the lyrics of a song written all over it. An uplifting song, for sure.
The Obama Bus (Poetry) - 2/16/2013 9:15:29 AM
Like Nelson Mandela's triumph over apartheid in South Africa, Barack Obama's presidency shows that we have come a long way from considering some people as, “property,” while others were considered, “privileged.” There is a groundswell of resentment against what Obama is proposing, but, like the groundswell of the Civil Rights Movement, its time has come and cannot be stopped. “Fairness” is the key word and equality for all must be achieved regardless of moneyed interests trying to keep the status quo with fear and loathing.
The Creator's Hand (Poetry) - 2/15/2013 6:47:19 AM
Beautiful! God's decoration! I love the snow, and find its beauty breathtaking!!!
Blessings to you,
Martin Anderson (Poetry) - 1/21/2013 4:53:41 AM
A very sad tragedy, Michael...one had to wonder what lives in the hearts of some...
Martin Anderson (Poetry) - 1/20/2013 9:03:59 AM
You had every right to be angry at such injustice. And every right to vent your anger in a poem.

One Church Faith Baptism One Voice (Poetry) - 12/5/2011 6:12:47 AM
I've always wondered why ALL churches seem to compete against the other, or think THEIR religion is the ONLY one, we are all worshipping the SAME God. Why can't we all join together in Holy worship and love for our Lord? A wonderful poem that should make everyone think! Love and Peace, Linda

Who Still Cries for Nevaeh Buchanan (Poetry) - 5/24/2011 5:54:46 AM
Very sad, Michael....children should never suffer....anyone who could hurt a child is nothing less than a monster! Bless little Nevaeh!
Who Still Cries for Nevaeh Buchanan (Poetry) - 5/24/2011 5:51:24 AM
All victims of murder left this world in vain. Nothing, not one thing we can do to change that. She is gone. There are so many Nevaeh's in this sorry-ass old world. Even if the despicable killer is caught, convicted, sentenced to life, or even electrocuted, Nevaeh will still have died in vein. Sorry. That is how I feel.
Who Still Cries for Nevaeh Buchanan (Poetry) - 5/24/2011 5:01:45 AM
How very very sad that this happened to such a precious child of God. I hope they find who did this, lock him up and throw away the key. It takes a monster to hurt a child. They are defensless and not strong enough to defend themselves. Maybe that is why they are targeted. My God bless and keep our children safe from predators such as this.

Love Soars (Poetry) - 3/31/2011 10:44:26 AM
Wiser words have never been written !!!
You are SO right, Michael. Love has everything to do with it.
I admired all the people you mention (as if everyone shouldn't), but
Mahatma Gandhi, Rosa Parks, and MLK, Jr. are my biggest heroes.
Go back far enough, have to add Eleanor Roosevelt, Sojourner Truth,
and Abraham Lincoln.
All helped to make the world a better place.
Knew that only by loving one another can we achieve anything meaningful at all.
P e a c e!

I try never to be too busy I don't SEE God's majestic works. You have written a poem everyone should read. They should open their eyes and see God's beauty and not rush past and miss the slendor of God's creation. This is a poem I wished I had written...EXELLENT!

My dearest brother, I don't know how I missed this one! You have lived through a horrific nightmare of war. God brought you through it, He has a plan for you. "If you want the perfect war find solutions not to start them." Words of wisdom and promise. You have penned a poem everyone in America should read. Peace and love to you.

There Is Something Wrong (Poetry) - 5/12/2010 11:19:57 AM
A sad testimony for all to read, but needed to be put to pen and passed on to others. Take heed dear friends, drugs are not to be, they are so dangerous and take many good folks lives. It is so sad to end life that way.
Mother's Day In Heaven (Poetry) - 5/12/2010 11:18:32 AM

Beautiful poetry and tribute to your Mother. My Mother is also having a Mother's day in Heaven with the Lord. Oh, how I miss her..but now she's a flower in God's garden of angels. Outstanding work here as I've come to expect from you.
Mother's Day In Heaven (Poetry) - 5/8/2010 5:54:24 PM
Another day of celebration with the King! This is an uplifting poem. I like the thought of our Moms having a special Mothers' Day in heaven, especially since my Mom died on the day before Mothers' Day in 1975. This thought makes it a happier time.
I love the line, "It is so hard to wait for eternity!"
The Greatest That Ever Be (Poetry) - 5/1/2010 2:55:25 PM

Beautiful tribute to your town! I feel the same about my town, thou mine isn't nearly as populated as yours. I don't have skyscrapers, I live in a small town but I enjoy it. We are known for our churches, we have many, many churches in my little town. I so much enjoyed your tribute. Peace an love to you!
A Piece Of The Divine (Poetry) - 2/19/2010 6:42:19 AM
This is one of your best, an amazing poem, one I needed to read right now. As you know I haven't been feeling my best as late, and this poem reminds me to look 'up' at the sky and 'clean' those cobwebs I keep inside. This poem is a keeper, one that will go into my library , and should be read by all, my brother in Christ.
Blessings+ an love,

Your words in the midst of tragedy can yet fill our hearts with so much love, hope and peace knowing that God is yet merciful. Keep writing my brother.
Nevaeh Buchanan (Poetry) - 2/2/2010 11:30:56 AM
A heartbreaking and sad poem of a precious little angel of God. I always question how could anyone have so much meanness in his heart to do such a crime to a poor, innocent child. How can he sleep at night..how can he live with himself. I hope with all my heart they catch him, and justice will reign. God bless the family of Nevaeh, may God give them strength. As for Nevaaeh, she's in Jesus's arms.
Blessings+ and love,
Haiti (Poetry) - 1/29/2010 6:07:47 AM

Wow (Poetry) - 11/18/2009 6:44:31 AM
God sends us all things, the rain, the birds. I have always loved morning glories. I remember them as a little child growing near our home, They always greeted me every morning as I went out to play. You take nothing for granted, my brother. You take in everything you hear and see and bind it in your heart. So many of us rush by and never hear the lovely birds or hear the roaring thunder, or see the colorful rainbow. Many are to busy, to stop and listen. As for me, I thank God for even the simpliest things, and I know you do too. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poetry.
There Is Something Wrong (Poetry) - 10/21/2009 5:13:11 AM
This is a wonderful testimony on what God can do. He can reach down and lift you up, no sin is too big for God. No one can get so far down Jesus can't reach. I think the tallest man is one on his knees. Another outstanding poem from you!

Katie Ryan Gave All (Poetry) - 10/10/2009 1:27:21 PM
Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
Katie Ryan Gave All (Poetry) - 9/30/2009 6:39:49 PM
This poem touched my heart deeply. How very sad that her life was cut short, and by a senseless act that never should have happened. If only she could have gotten away from him, left him when he first started the abuse maybe she would be alive today. So many abused women are afraid to leave. I feel for them, and I feel for this brave Policewoman who worked to keep her town safe when she herself wasn't safe from her husband. I pray for her son, who must face life without his parents, the questions he must have. God bless and be with all the abused who face fear every day. Thank you for sharing this poem, its says volumes.
Blessings & Peace,
What About The Kids (Poetry) - 9/24/2009 5:46:24 PM

We should all count our blessings that God gives us daily for their are so many who suffer. God bless you for this poem, my brother in Christ.

Consider (Poetry) - 7/24/2009 3:04:41 PM
I've always felt the BEST things in life are free. A smile, a hug, a warm handshake, giving of yourself. The Bible says love your neighbor as thyself. In these days an times there's neighbor against neighbor, brother against brother, if only we could all just get along. The Lord sees and He knows, He won't let it go on much longer. Another excellent poem as I've come to expect from you.
Peace, love an joy,

Vietnam (Poetry) - 5/21/2009 6:33:23 PM
No, as hard as we try we can never forget, so many good, lost men, lives cut short for no good reason and for those who returned, the wrath they were handed. For shame on all who refused to understand. You strike a nerve with this piece and bring back memories long set aside. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Memorial Day and thanks for all you have done and continue to do....
Be always safe,
Vietnam (Poetry) - 5/21/2009 11:16:19 AM
Thank you, first of all, for your service - welcome home, soldier, welcome home. (((HUGS)))
(Made a promise years ago, to thank every Vietnam Veteran, because they didn't get the welcome home they so rightfully deserve - consider yourself thanked and hugged.)
Powerful poem and thank you, as well, for remembering WHY we remember those who gave all - well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. *salute*

The Creator's Hand (Poetry) - 4/8/2009 7:14:35 AM
A beautiful poem. This was exactly the Creator's Hand to blanket us with snow in April like it was December. Keep up the good work of writing such stirring poetry. Continue being blessed my Brother.
The Creator's Hand (Poetry) - 4/8/2009 5:25:09 AM
BEAUTIFUL! I too, love the snow and how the trees look with a blanket of white on them, I call it God's decoration. I also like to see the trees after an ice storm, the sun makes the ice sparkle on the trees, so majestic. Yes, the good Lord sends us such beautiful sights to behold, including the little sparrows. I love birds, especially the hummingbirds. I put out feeders every year for them.
The Creator's Hand (Poetry) - 4/8/2009 12:02:35 AM
What a beautiful sight to behold, molecular snowflakes! Great poem Michael, a blessing today!
