Taking Advantage of You (Poetry) - 2/23/2009 9:58:35 AM
Jerry,
Ann Lander's had a saying, "no one can take advantage of you without your permission" But as you say, people that take advantage will lose in the end.

Living with Yourself (Poetry) - 2/20/2009 8:30:54 AM
Hi Jerry, It's looking into the unlookable of your past and loving it. Cuz at the end of the day, it is truly living with yourself. Thank you for writing and sharing this...

Living with Yourself (Poetry) - 2/19/2009 8:41:56 PM
Jerry,
You are so right. Perhaps you've made some mistakes in the past, we all do, it's a learning process. There are so many woulda, shoulda coulda. If you can change a wrong, do it. Otherwise, let it be.

Where My Talent Lies (Poetry) - 2/19/2009 1:39:29 PM
I think that whatever we do in life, it is for a unknown cause, and yes, sometimes we won't know where our talent lies unless we do the things that show us our talents and thus leading us to where we want to be.
The decision to go into our paths still rests upon us, and we are the ones who makes those decisions.
A thought-provoking write.

Keep Writing (Poetry) - 2/18/2009 5:48:53 AM
Jerry,
Very well put. I have days when I can think of nothing at all. There are times when I think I should just quit, but can't. It's like a drug.

Keep Writing (Poetry) - 2/18/2009 4:39:09 AM
I know the feeling. One day I get frustrated because of the lack of reviews (on my stories verses my poetry! UGH!!), and the next: BAM!! Writin' machine! Dang muse just won't QUIT!! LOL Great write, and YOU keep on penning, sir!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
Have to Lose Weight (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 3:53:35 PM
Oh yes, it certainly is far easier to put the weight on than take it off, bravo in your efforts....

Have to Lose Weight (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 2:51:28 PM
Jerry:
I have been taking the "Colostrum" pills to help boost up my immune system, it is made from the first flow of the mother's milk from cattle, and is very safe for human's consumption.
I noticed that one good thing about this pill is that it has helped me to lose weight. I take it twice daily on empty stomach, once about 2.00 p.m.; and once at bedtime. The following morning my stomach would be so flat.
You can research this "Colostrum" in the net, and it will tell you what good it does for your body; and even though it might not say that it will help you lose weigh, but it actually is the best for losing weight.

Have to Lose Weight (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 2:16:26 PM
Jerry,
You've hit on an area most of us can sympathize with. Just a part of life I guess.

Control Freaks (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 11:07:34 AM
Jerry, you seem to let them get to you. You have to be strong. Look to the Lord for strength and integrity. He will come through for you if you are honestly seeking Him, and He will make you the man He wants you to be. There's no greater friend! Connie
Staying by Yourself (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 11:04:33 AM
This really says a lot and expresses your frustration in simple words.
Is this a parenting issue? If it is, take heart and over time you will prove your ability to make it on your own. (It's hard to stop trying to parent when your children leave home.) In the meantime, again, patience is needed. God bless you, Jerry. Connie
Master Minipulater (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 11:00:19 AM
It's no fun to be around a master manipulator, is it? But God is ultimately in control. Connie
I Can't Win (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 10:56:11 AM
Criticism does sting, but it's God's opinion that matters in the final tally. In Jesus, we can do anything...just put your trust in Him and He will make you a winner in the things that count. Connie
So Strange (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 10:53:42 AM
Not strange to me--I'm tired in the morning, especially if I woke during the night and got up for a couple hours. Connie
Creating Something (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 10:50:36 AM
Well, if it can be used by someone somewhere, then that someone else would care about it, too. Keep dreaming, and you will bless others by your caring. Connie
New Man Around (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 10:47:56 AM
A good question, Jerry. I'd say he should be quiet for awhile, get to know how things are being done, and bide his time. It may be a frustrating place to be, but patience is a virtue and a job well-done speaks volumes until the time is right. Of course, I'd pray for guidance from the Lord, too. Connie
I Can't Win (Poetry) - 2/17/2009 4:20:50 AM
You can win, and you WILL win. Just keep the faith; know you are in my prayers! Well done, Jerry!

Control Freaks (Poetry) - 2/16/2009 5:45:20 PM
If you do not give away the control, no one can take it. They just think they are in control.

Calmed Down a Bit (Poetry) - 9/3/2008 9:43:41 AM
Yes, even though we've all acted on impulse at times, we know we shouldn't really. After a cooling off period, the colors are different.

Being Single (Poetry) - 9/1/2008 7:04:03 AM
You do have a choice. Find your soul mate, and get married, or live alone single. Someone will always care for you though, that person is God. Don't worry, you will be o.k. This is a good write. Simply simple but says lots. Makes you think which is best, single or a companion. I like to be able to do my own thing, go wherever and not have anyone asking about where I am going and when I'll be home.
Being Left Behind (Poetry) - 8/31/2008 12:34:07 PM
Jerry,
It hurts when others leave you behind, but as Lois said, you have to make your own way and not depend on others. Beautiful, thoughtful poem.
Mary
Being Left Behind (Poetry) - 8/31/2008 9:19:40 AM
I really don't care if left behind by others. I make my own happiness and don't rely on others to make me happy. This is a good poem to think about though. It seems some people only care about theirselves and don't want to help others. Most of us on the den are not like this though, but thanks for bringing it to our attention. Don't worry, be happy.
Beginning to Realize (Poetry) - 8/29/2008 12:44:23 PM
Ah, the humility of facing the truth that no one person is any better or worse than the next. Each have their own unique qualities....

Following Your Dreams (Poetry) - 8/29/2008 5:40:15 AM
I try to analyze my dreams each day. I need money to follow some of them ,which I don't have much of. Then, again, some dreams can be fulfilled with little money and some are even free. Whatever dreams mean something somehow and should be taken literally to be what you need to experience in the life you lead. Take your dreams to the limit if you can.
Beginning to Realize (Poetry) - 8/29/2008 5:36:57 AM
Truer words nover spoken. I do like your thinking for today and this poem is great and reminds us we are all the same and no one any better than anyone else. Some think they are but it is otherwise as you say here.

Accepting Others (Poetry) - 6/26/2008 10:32:44 AM
Good message in this; I happen to be one of those who live with physcial disabilities (I refuse to bow to the PC trap and say physcial challenges!).

The Way that Some People Are (Poetry) - 5/30/2008 5:50:11 PM
Importance reigns between the ears, but it does make them feel better about themselves. Usually shallow, insecure people show these traits, nice writing...

Find Out Who I Really Am (Poetry) - 5/23/2008 5:45:36 PM
Never judge a book by its cover, right? Very loving and descriptive touch, yet I find that no one ever really knows "The person" only the image that is portrayed....

Karen
Find Out Who I Really Am (Poetry) - 5/23/2008 5:01:49 AM
Most people are quick to judge another. Be sure of your own self, that's the only thing that counts. Other opinions are just that - their own opinions.
