Even Eagles cannot see (Poetry) - 3/20/2008 5:31:10 PM
Africa will regain its strength when those who have prospered here go back home and lead. This is a very good poem filled with rich history...Keep it alive.

A very moving and majestic write... Keep on writing, maybe someone will step forward and lead the next generation.

That open ended question is a stiller, and a mover. The whole poem is one of encouragement rather than whining, and that optimistic energy is very effective in motiviating one to reach out, get up, and do something. Good job. --Charlie Nit picks: your "today the ages shine" line is a bit awkward. It's that conditional tense that's missing. That "if" word throws it in to gear. "as if it were" is gramatically correct... (don't mind me, I'm the grammar queen) ...and likewise, ...divinations of Nelson Mandela "have" been great -- conjugate for plural tense... But like I said, a powerful, optimistic piece like this is good medicine for the world. Write on!! --Charlie

Good and strong. I some how want "crickets" to be "crocodiles", though-- here crocodile tears has a conotation that would work really well there. Check it out first though. Welcome to AD! Ahoy! And welcome aboard to the poetry boat-- many stops along the way, and tons of gorgeous scenery. --Charlie

oh my...this is a powerful write...even though most of the place names are not familiar to me, the message in this, and the passion are universal. Splendid piece of work here my friend.
