No Satisfaction (Poetry) - 1/10/2009 7:02:04 AM
Congrats! To need assistance is not a good thing, but a blessing to those in times of need, and yet a crutch to those whom are lazy with entitlements to society as they abuse the systems. I was elated when public welfare assistant programs placed a time limit on the monthly "check" whether it be poverty, unemployment or just laziness...Grabbing hold of life as you have is empowering & yes very satisfying as you reel in the sustenance of achieving goals... Knowing Pride of Achievements Is A Grand feeling! Kudos for getting out of the cycle of being shuffled around & standing up to stand for your aspirations & beliefs!! Much Love & Continued Inspirations Vickie

Phone Tag (Poetry) - 1/10/2009 6:47:47 AM

Sagging Doesn't Appeal to Me (Poetry) - 11/20/2008 5:19:06 PM
I have to laugh with each time you tell him to pull up those pants, you have no idea how many times I have thought of those same words when I see a guy or kid or whatever walking down the street with pants way down...I sometimes wonder, if he wants to show off his undies, he should at least wear a pair that are different or at least clean...LOL, Ed & Rufuz

This little guy brought the mother out of you which was always there but hidden one with a beautiful heart and soul and the protector as a mother lion. Who cares who the father is, we know his Mother and that's all that matters. Love and hugs, Bonnie

Happy Boss's Day (Poetry) - 10/17/2008 10:05:35 AM
Worthy statements, Susie. I was fortunate to have "bosses" like this throughout my career except for the last one which is one of the main reasons why I took early retirement. Not everyone is "cut out" to be a leader. One wonders how some of them get into such positions of "authority." Thank you. Love and peace, Regis

Happy Boss's Day (Poetry) - 10/16/2008 4:32:49 PM

Kids These Days (Poetry) - 10/14/2008 6:44:22 PM
No discipline or lack of parental supervision; that's what's wrong with these kids, plus they're being drugged (oh, my kid's got ADHD or autism...BULLCRAP!!). Sad! When they took prayer/God/discipline out of the homes and schools, that's when things started going downhilll; it's only going to get worse unless we wise up, stand up, and say: "NO MORE!!"! Heartshattering write; a battle cry for action to take our kids back! (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <

Kids These Days (Poetry) - 10/14/2008 3:47:47 PM
Too much unnecessary Rhidalin being handed out, but that is just my opinion. If you do not teach children while they are very young how to deal with the mishaps of life their only means is violence and that I find sad, good write... Be always safe, Karen

From Birth to Graduation (Poetry) - 10/1/2008 10:14:49 AM
How true it is that the "nuclear family" has disappeared. The older people I know, usually stayed together and raised their children together. It makes you wonder what has happened to our values, and to the marriage vows mean nothing anymore? Very poignant and thought provoking write. Mary

No Time to Sleep (Poetry) - 9/25/2008 8:50:04 AM

Obsession (Poetry) - 9/22/2008 11:05:56 PM
Passionate feelings expressed in this poem. The last line of the third stanza makes me feel sad. I would not want someone to fake their feelings for me, no matter how much I like them. I like how you end this poem with desire on hold. Hugs, Sheila

Talking in the Library (Poetry) - 9/2/2008 2:29:33 PM
Yep, Susie, just let it slide. Things are different now. Two weeks ago, I had to plug both ears, 2 old ladies were talking so loud. I couldn't hear myself think. Now I go to Veteran Memorials and write there. It's pretty darned quiet, except for the sound like applause from trees. Anyway, I just had to read your poem because of the title. cheers, Sue Phillips

Talking in the Library (Poetry) - 9/2/2008 12:59:02 PM
Sometines when surrounded by others who are not paying attention to their surroundings, it makes life a bit difficult, yet at one time or another we probably have done the same thing so be patient. Nice writing, very expressive... Be always safe, Karen

Talking in the Library (Poetry) - 9/2/2008 9:02:02 AM
Hey Susie, sometimes people can be very inconsiderate. As much as you want to tell these ladies off,you took the higher road and I commend you for it.Whatever happen to common courtesy nowdays in this world? It seems as if people(young and even the old) can just do whatever they want to do without having any sense of decency for other people's feelings which is a sad commentary on the type of society that we live in today.I'm glad that your imagination can drown out the sound of them and be at peace.Take care of yourself. Edwin

Talking in the Library (Poetry) - 9/2/2008 7:10:38 AM
Crafty image of rude people in a library--it seems the old ways of being polite and thinking of others is becoming history as so many younger people grow up to be narcissists--thinking only of themselves and no one else. In a polite, slower world, there would be no need for a poem that points out a moment like this where the sanctity of one of the few quiet places left in the city is slowly vanishing. Even the Cell phone going off was evidence of an endangered species: ‘silence’. Now, when we go to a movie, we see a reminder to turn off our cell phones so we don't distrube others and every once-in-a-while, even with the reminder, one goes off during the movie.

This happened to my friend Chrissy, and she allowed her baby to go visit his father in africa (not sure where anymore) but he learned the language which seemed like a great thing, but through time & visits her son eventually for many years he was held in Africa & then through attorneys & alot of legal suits he was finally brought home & didn't know english...it's terrible to steal children from their parents, I understand the fears in this write for they are indeed a reality Embraced ~ Embrassé Vickie

I agree. Sagging pants is not acceptable in my eyes; it shows laziness and uncaring attitude. I also hate those pants that have the writing across the butt; they should ban those types of pants! (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
