Very moving poem, but I have to say, it gives me the jitters :)

Well, I just stop by to tell you that I like your BIO pic. It reminds me of my cat, Pride, when he was a tiny tot. Now he has become so big, 20 lbs. and probably over!
Is your cat a Buster Brown cat? If he is, then he will be big! And he will have thick bone as well.
Hmmmmm...okay, about your poem...It is sad! That's all I can say!

Robert, thank you!
Unfortunately, however... I think things will only continue down, seeing as everyone thinks they are in the right. They may be, or they might not be. But everyone has the interest of protecting their people, however irrational or rational their ways of doing this are. Unless everyone sees this, and stops... The goal is totally unreachable. Then we have to trust each other, and join together. But if a significantly large group breaks away, it's back to chaos again. My hope is that these wars won't kill the people that could change the world to this, and instead they'll be maybe the million or two (maybe more) left, and for a time, at least, we'll have peace. That is, of course, the regular way to look at it.

I read this as a piece of prose rather than a poem, though your words rhymed. It was the length of some of the lines which had me reading it as prose.
Prose or poem I think that this is one of your better ones.

Not so sad as your other poems, and yes there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Your poems seems to tell of your past, with little future for you. This is sad as there is much in this world that is good and beautiful. I cannot say that I understand your feeling because I cannot. Only through your poetry does the truth come out.

I have been away from this site for some twelve months, trying out other poetry sites. Who should I pick on when returning but a Mormon. Well Brother Kern meet Brother Harrison from Brisbane, Australia.
Your poem is a sad tale of what is going on in many parts of the world, and my heart goes out to you my brother. You expressed yourself well.
Here We Are (Poetry) - 7/14/2008 11:47:07 AM
We are in a world full of hate, wars, misdemeanors, unfairness and it should be set aright, but How?

It is so like you described of this world. People not protecting our environment, people from foreign lands hating us, trying to destroy us, the Gov't does it Care? That is a big question noone can answer. Only God knows the time that it is for the world to end and peace reigns then. May it not be put off too long, as terrible things are happening and how can it get much worse?

Youve managed to put a picture on despair. There is only one hope for us all. Well Done! Deborah

Our country is in disarray and not sure if it has crossed that point of no return, but your words are piercingly true.....
