This is such a great story, Joe. Yes, I can see the "tough" cop checking you out, and then softening with the thought of you, Big Trucker, writing a love poem. I can understand, too, leaving the tears on your face; even though it was something of a ploy, it's amusing to read about. The last time my Bill was stopped, I mentioned to the trooper that we were just on our way back from celebrating - I think it was our anniversary last year, and we always go to a town about an hour away for dinner in a special place. We were both shocked when he didn't give him a ticket, because Bill admitted he was going too fast. It's nice to find out some tough cops have hearts, too. Connie

A perfect concotion and mixed images :) I hate to say this, but I hate poetry readings because they are usually full of pretentious asses ("POETS"). This was cool.

It seems like the person describe in your poem had died internally and wanted to share his hearts demise with others through his poetry, so let us pray for his resurrected heart that he may live again! Thanks Joe, I could actually visualize that man as I read your poem drinking his ooze form thar used Salsa jar. Peace!!!

Hey Joe I like this poem and it shows how powerful love is even if the other party is not aware of it. The good part is that the officer got caught up into what your wrote about love. And for the community of, meet Mr. Joseph Ferrari who is a humble man and that's why I love him as the publisher of my book entilted ' A Cut Above': Ofcourse he would never tell you and this is why I did. And to Joe's credit he has published many other titles that otherwise would never have been out there. Peace!!!

Very interesting subject. You painted a vivid picture of this strange character with his jar of yuck. I enjoyed it. Welcome to Authors' Den! Connie p.s. Just between you, me, and the four walls, I don't think you'll like my writing. ;~)
