What's His (Poetry) - 6/30/2013 12:05:54 PM|
Wow! I wish I could remember where I put that drawer marked Nostalgia, I'm sure something like that must have happened in my past. If only I were fifty years younger . . .
Love Dad (Poetry) - 3/31/2009 2:34:22 PM
WOW! What a poem, Michael. BRAVO!
A great deal of emotion, I like that.
You made me cry with that poem today.
He Said He's Afraid to Breathe Me (Poetry) - 10/23/2008 1:05:44 PM
Wow, I like this one. Very intense imagery, and a great thematic element.
Love Dad (Poetry) - 9/2/2008 3:52:47 AM
I would definitely say this is worthy of being called a poem. It's heart-felt, and emotional. Being written from the perspective of what I assume is 'your' father brings a different light to it. I really enjoyed this.
Watching You Sleep (Poetry) - 9/2/2008 3:50:05 AM
This poem speaks of tenderness, compassion, and love. A sweetness found in experiencing the vulnerability of sleep.

Two comments on this fine poem, Michael. First, I like the
structure and the writing of it. Second, my response to the
poem is obviously to agree with the concluding line. Not
just a word but the ignorance behind the word. Or the way
we're taught to hate -- carefully taught, as the song goes
in South Pacific. -gene.

Serene and tenderly romantic.
