I Will Never Ride a Barrel Over Niagara--answering the challenge (Poetry) - 1/15/2009 4:04:29 AM
This is a lovely write. I recognize many things here from what you have said in the past. Nice to see it all so poetically inscribed. Your engaging mind to captures here the many faces you show the world, and some of those that you that normally don't or wished you hadn't. This poem shows we are all more alike than we think. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing, Sue. Rockie Coppolella

Captivating Gift on the Rails (Poetry) - 11/15/2008 12:19:41 PM
Your richly illustrated analogy of nature's fury to the passion of a boy determined not to let anything derail his dreams, despite personal realities to the contrary is well done. Excellent Sue! Rockie Coppolella

You write like you are so young and observing nature and all. I assumed you were younger person til you put the 50+ age up there. Join the club i am in the 60+ one. Getting older brings on its aches and all and pains galore. I like the fact that you stated the ocean brings you peace. It does to me too and ocean life is my thing. Don't live near it but wish I could. Thanks for this write.

Wonderful thoughts I liked the fact you share them with us in such a natural style and way. The photo is beautiful too. You have done a supreme job on this poetry and should win another award for it. It is my type of poetry and I love your style throughout all your posts. Great work, great gal, I'd say often.

Great write here, very talented. Read your bio and it was so interesting. Chowders are very good but chicken corn soup is popular in PA here. PA dutch you know. I will read more of your writes, and keep on writing and painting. Talent shows through in you.

Wonderful, heartfelt write about a fantastic piece of history as Niagra is and always has been. Beautiful country up there and the many lovely sleepy towns that surround it... Be always safe, Karen

Excellant write and combined with history and bio of a man who ranks with the best as you tell it. Well done and though I have never been to the US side of Niagara Falls I have visited the Canadian side a few times in my life and I am always awed...not by the tinsel and the glitter but by natures' power. If only we would have known how special a person is when they cross our lives and leave an imprint on our heart. Maybe just maybe would would never let them go. I wished I had that knowledge many times. Great write. Love, Bonnie

a gifted write is this, Sue -- autumn is indeed a spectacular time -- unfortunately for me, it is indeed winter's portent -- and therein lies the problem for me -- winter's cold and bareness do not with me agree -- beautiful photo -- JMW

I Will Never Ride a Barrel Over Niagara--answering the challenge (Poetry) - 9/3/2008 5:30:18 AM
very brave indeed to bare your soul to strangers -- but why you ever though to remove it puzzles me -- this is a magnificent poem and tribute to a warm and wonderful person -- it would have been almost sinful not to share -- each of us that choose to write reveal a little of ourselves with each piece of work -- thanks for giving us the opportunity to share this insight -- JMW

I Will Never Ride a Barrel Over Niagara--answering the challenge (Poetry) - 8/31/2008 5:09:56 AM
Outstanding write...love your style and the wonderful glimpse at a such a real and interesting person. I too love vegetables and could live happily without meat, I collect rocks from the mountains but love pick up sea glass while on vacation. I never leave the house without my camera as I love photography too...it also took me a long time to show the world my writing. While working on my masters degree a professor at the college encouraged me to enter a short story in a writing competition....I hesitated but finally entered it and guess what? I won, giving me the courage that I needed to allow others to read my work. I loved your write, your style, and meeting yet another wonderful den friend. Welcome aboard! Oh, I love the falls as well...I've only been twice, but both times it was an unforgetable experience, would love to return again in the near future! Enjoyed! Blessings from Ky. Joyce B.

I've always like Niagara Falls. My hubby and I go there almost once a year or a mini vacation. Well, this year we have not done this yet because he has been ill. You have spun quite a tale with this challenge. I think this is well met. I'm happy to have read this. Sandie May :o)

Wafted in the breeze tonight (Poetry) - 8/18/2008 9:05:59 AM
This poem touched my heart. There are some chilly nights in Connecticut even in mid August or late August the temperature drops. As I become anxious about the change of seasons, I ask myself the same things, "should I put out my sweater? do I need to prepare certain things for the autumn that is just around the corner." My favorite month is October, so I am anxious to put away my capris and short sleeved shirts. I am more of an autumn person, so I really love your poem and your writing style. It is a very enjoyable poem. Please stop into my den and let me know what you think of my work.

Yes, we do wonder. I am fortunate to be in touch with several old friends whom I've known since early childhood. I don't have to wonder about them, but reading your poem made me think of those I'm not in touch with. Interesting write.

Talented writing. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work. As for Autumn, not I. I love bright sunshine and flowering plants; even the water lilies you have with your bio will hibernate over the winter. I try my best to find something to like about cold weather, but always yearn for Spring to return. "To everything there is a season." Welcome to Authors' Den! Connie

IF they would...could we? Interesting and amusing thoughts in your poem, Sue! I saw on TV where baby piranha are placed in a foot-bath with your feet and peck-away at your foot's dead skin - cleansing and massaging at the same time. I think I'll just keep scrubbing my own feet, thank you :o) Blessings - Micke
