Dark Tomorrow (Poetry) - 11/4/2010 6:49:37 PM|
A flashback here for me of what might be what Matthew Shephard was thinking for many years of walking along those barbed wire Wyoming fencelines before he was savagely tied to one and beaten to his death there because of his sexual preference...people have got to be responsible for their own happiness and that includes gay people. Homosexuals are responsible for accepting that there are those who dislike us to the point of bullying, (religious and otherwise) therefore we, as the other species of alternative lifestyle need to shrug it off and go on about our business. Creativity is the best punch in the face we can give them back. Many of us, gays and lesbians are successful artists, and so to me, it overcomes any bullying. We simply must rise above these bigots and showcase our art to the world...be well you.

Your poetry speaks often and correctly of the imperfections of our society in such a beautiful way.

Wow.. this is so simple, but so powerful. I really like how it turns from the sweet beginning to a much darker end.

This is such a beautiful poem, but it goes beyond that with a message of love that so many never get.

Gone From Darkness (Poetry) - 9/11/2008 2:07:17 PM
I just realized there was a typo in the comment i left on your last poem....i meant to say you can this was written by a person IN love, not a person that I love, lol. anyway, i digress, as usual :)....I love the positive attitude you have in this one, I think half the battle is in the way we see things in life, so with this attitude, anything is possible.

Herald of loves rebirth. (Poetry) - 9/1/2008 9:16:04 PM
This is a utopian image that i think we all imagine, at least those of us who love life and positivity. Great poem!

Arise to love (Poetry) - 9/1/2008 9:13:30 PM
This has such a great classical feel to it, and i like the form you used as it made it easier to read-so much here to relate to, so much truth about love.
