Good analysis of the seasons, and yes, Death is always there marching on to take us in the end. Noone escapes death at all. This is a good thoughtful write usuing your imaginations to the extreme end.

We live in a world that the deaths are happening everyday because of the wars. People die, but the world doesn't stop there, it is still marches on seasons in and seasons out. It's sad, but it's a wonderful write!!! Sandie Angel :o( P.S. Oh, I recognize your name, glad to see you again on this board!!!

perhaps the true test of death is being able to survive it ... we leave our presence, like leaves behind us but the tree of our origin continues on ... deep, insightful poem handled with the proper amount of finesse ...

He Doesn't Count (Poetry) - 9/17/2008 8:24:33 AM
Your poem strikes a nerve with me. My father left us and became a nomadic street person. Until one day a wonderful woman found him, cleaned him up and dried him out and he was a functioning human being again. There are many heroes in this world, one of those homeless might have very well been a hero to someone. You are a hero for putting yourself out there. I commend your openness and honesty. Welcome to the Den, Kismet. Peace, love, and light, Amber "V"

Such a heartwrenching write. It's all so very true. The last line really hit like a ton of bricks. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Mary

He Doesn't Count (Poetry) - 9/17/2008 4:06:25 AM
Kismet, Awesome poetry, Kismet. I also write for the homeless. I feel for them, they feel alone and abandoned and hopeless. By the grace of God go I. I could so easily be that person and one day I may be the way the economy is going. This poem is going into my library and you are going into my tracker. I don't want to miss any of your writes. Many blessings, ~Linda

He Doesn't Count (Poetry) - 9/17/2008 2:44:25 AM
Well...I have made friends with a homeless person before, because every time I walked by I always gave him something. Later, I've learned that he had actually gone to a school to learn something. Just because a person is homeless on the day you saw him doesn't mean that he cannot get up and better himself. Sandie Angel :o)

He Doesn't Count (Poetry) - 9/17/2008 12:16:18 AM
Hi Kismet, this is a very good poem which shows the reality of what being homeless is all about.I definitely agree that it could be you,me or anybody else who is in that same position as he is in the picture.Money, cars, houses, etc can be gone like that, but life is more precious than anything and for that we should be thankful.take care Edwin
