Wow, I really appreciate that story. As an animal lover and over-the-top compassionate animal caretaker (I run a small non profit animal shelter) I understand the impact a seemingly inconsequential animal can have in daily life. It's always refreshing when I get to read other people's experiences with animal/human bonding. And an animal story with a happy ending is awesome! Thanks. Plus, the writing style was very enjoyable.
