How to handle a diabetic in crisis (Article) - 11/22/2008 9:20:10 AM
Many thanks for this! Someone very dear to me has this disease, and he is not very helpful in assisting me to deal with him before the crisis hits. Yet I see it from time to time. I try to catch it, but am lost. I end up dealing with a very angry person instead. I truly appreciate this article since I have no other person to talk to about this disease, and I an not medically inclined at all (excepting neurology)! Your point on staying calm and asking certain types of questions is helpful. ~ Stephanie

How long, Lord? (Poetry) - 1/11/2009 7:32:53 PM
Wishing your mama comforting peace. I believe when a person reaches this stage, their souls and minds are in heaven and the vessel is just there. God is kind and I do not think he would allow such suffering to his lambs.

aaTHEIMER'S takes it good time and when God is ready for her he will take her home. Meanwhile it is hard on the family surrounding them, but giving the care you do helps and she is lucky to have you to take care of her. The good memories will never go away, but altheimer's is a sad and lasting disease and progresses it's own way on each person.

Over Fifty (Poetry) - 11/17/2008 3:39:29 PM
Well, age is just a number they say, and I would have to agree. I have some health conditions that make me feel like this at 38, so i can relate though not 50, lol. By the way- you look GREAT!!

Age is a state of mind, my life seems to have just begun at the age of 50 and 3 months now. Of course there are the aches and pains, but I had them at 30, now I am waiting on the wisdom to arrive ;^}. Warmth and Love to you.

People say that "Before fifty you go up the hill; after fifty you begin to come downhill" - but I think nowadays being 50 is a golden age, many people at fifty are very strong and healthy. Sandie Angel :o)
