The Presidential Election: America’s Silent Knell (Article) - 12/23/2008 1:13:05 PM
Hey Patrick, It seems like you’re making a few assumptions. “Have Americans forgotten what America is? Have Americans forgotten what She stands for? Have we forgotten who we are? Have you forgotten what you stand for?” There is no monolithic American view. If you ask 100 people what America stands for or who Americans are, you will likely get a host of answers. All correct – sometimes in conflict with each other. I also find it intriguing that in paragraph four, you cast “CHANGE” as a negative alongside words like horror, death, terror. Quick note, at the end of paragraph six, you might want to change innocence to innocent. And the sentence, “tomorrow will decide America’s fatality, for better or worse…” is tough. Fatality, by definition, is the ultimate end/demise. I’m not sure you can have a better fatality (maybe dying from an overdose of strawberry ice cream…) Last paragraph, you might want to do the innocence to innocent switch again. And I’m not sure that optimistically works on that last sentence. It just doesn’t make sense there. Seems like you have strong feelings about what this election meant. Tim

The death knell was when George Bush and the republican thieves with their election dirty tricks stole the 2000 and 2004 election and led the country on an 8 year nightmare. Fortunately, the Democrats have won and their is a chance for the U.S. and the world to put things right again.

Gone, But not Forgotten? (Poetry) - 8/15/2009 8:21:27 PM
I feel the pain in this so much…I have lived this journey with cancer…I have watched my decisions over my wife’s fate, her wishes, and her desire tear a family apart. Yet, bridges, no mater how hurtful to cross with the splinters of discord tearing away at the flesh of your feet, must never be burnt…in earnest having been, and still there send my hope through prayer…have a blessed day. Allen

Must be so hard to bear his illness butshe is doing great as we all do when our loved ones are ill. Never mind that we are only human and supposed to bear one another's burdens and prayers help lots. I will keep those two in my prayers. A really good poem about expressig feelings felt by her here.

I like this but it was alittle hard to read through because of the way it came out after formatting.
