I seem to be late in reviewing this wonderful book, but better late than never! A very unusual combination of novel/family history, recipies and wonderful stories. Not your everyday cookbook, it goes well beyond normal expectations and its well written style is just a big plus. Buy it!!! I have.

I love your writing style and the beginning of the story is very catchy. My interest is up, when will it be finished? Judging soley from my style, I think it is clear, well paced and interesting. Why is that no surprise to me?

It's a beautifully done book! That and knowing that half of the royalties go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation is an extra plus! I'll make arrangements to get my signed copy.

Toonie: Your recipes, writing style, & interwoven storyline makes up a book full of warm fuzzies. Cozy, comfy, & well-fed, both in body & soul. It's wonderful to see how you had such a wonderful role model.
You can go places. And when you do, will you promise to become the PA official chef??

I am a gourmet cook and this book sounds absolutely delicious! I cannot wait to try the buttermilk pie and the jailhouse doughnuts! Everything sounds wonderful, creative and unique! I look forward to this book!

My mother's own recipe is minus the coconut. I like this dish so much I save it for dessert even though Mom serves it as a side dish at Thanksgiving. Coconut can only make it better! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
