A Man's Feelings: Finding Closure after Divorce (Book) - 2/25/2009 3:41:07 PM
I hope I never need your book, Michael, but after hearing your audio message and reading additional information on your www.bookondivorce.com, I would recommend it others that have gone through or are now going through the tragedy of Divorce. Rockie Coppolella

Who Killed Romance (Short Story) - 5/25/2009 7:25:14 AM
Michael, I thoroughly enjoyed your views in "Who Killed Romance". I agree with your warm genuine smile theory. Some of MY most memorable relationships with men have been instigated by a warm genuine smile, extended by a sincere listening ear, and completely enjoyed though they were brief, innocent and public encounters. Pat

Divorce class: Annulment (Short Story) - 5/19/2009 4:22:51 AM

Divorce class: Annulment (Short Story) - 5/16/2009 1:01:23 PM
Well described. I am a "victim" of the Catholic church. I could not get my previous marriage annulled, because my ex didn't believe in this. I think the whole think is ridiculous. I'm still a Catholic, but this is the stupidest rule they have. A lot of people have left the Church over it. Another thing is after you go through the expense of it all, often you're turned down! Divorce Amplifies Holiday Loneliness (Short Story) - 5/11/2009 4:40:24 PM
I enjoyed reading this because you have brought up excellent points. First, a single person or a divorced person is not a loser who wears the big L. Just surround yourself with people who will lift your spirits and who will show you compassion and understanding. Support groups and counseling are a good solution, but sometimes it is as simple as going to "meet up groups" which consist of people who share a common interest, such as a wine tasting, hiking, or dining out meet up group for singles. These groups consist of people who go to functions alone and are seeking friendships (not necessarily romance) Although seeking support from other divorced people is important and valuable, you have to try to lift your spirits by doing things that you enjoy.

A Man’s Feelings (excerpt one) (Short Story) - 5/11/2009 4:36:16 PM
Hi, So many people try to "assume" what the other person is feeling. Sometimes we try to look at a person's facial expressions to figure out what he or she is feeling rather than asking a direct question. The funniest thing is that women tend to analyze men and they ask their friends things like : what do you think he meant by that? or do you think he is dating someone else besides me? Men play the guessing games, too. I enjoyed reading your work today because it reminds me of how complicated relationships can become when we try to "guess". Sometimes, men and women make things more complicated because they assume what the other person is feeling rather than communicating directly with the person. This is a great write!

Who Killed Romance (Short Story) - 4/14/2009 11:37:52 PM
You know, unlike Patricia, I didn't find myself laughing at this, but many times nodding my head in agreement. A wise and intelligent write that I think took a lot of courage to print!

Divorce class: Bad Karma (Short Story) - 4/11/2009 6:02:01 AM
" “For every woman you sleep with, you carry some part of them with you for the rest of your life.” ......I smiled when I read these lines...May is a very smart lady. I enjoyed this...and your last two lines...so true.

Divorce class: Bad Karma (Short Story) - 4/8/2009 8:35:40 AM
"I know some men who cannot get over it" -yes it is true. Men with broken hearts find it harder to heal, some never do. Great story. Cynthia

Divorce: The second class (Short Story) - 3/30/2009 9:15:19 PM

The Horny Frog (Short Story) - 3/27/2009 8:40:58 AM
What a great analogy of man, the human, as compared to the rest of the world's males. Good work, Michael PatK

A Man's Feelings (excerpt three) (Short Story) - 3/13/2009 1:06:33 PM
These thoughts are sound advice it would appear, from one who has suffered the wounds of divorce. This is a good selling point to make for Mr. Eads' book. Well done! Rockie Coppolella

Bear Boy Stayed (Short Story) - 2/27/2009 2:31:30 PM

A Man's Feelings (excerpt two) (Short Story) - 2/26/2009 2:07:51 PM
And a great lesson of charity, love and humility it was. Thanks for sharing, Michael. Your Dad sounded like a good man. "Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares". (Hebrews 13:1-2) Rockie Coppolella

A Man’s Feelings (excerpt one) (Short Story) - 2/24/2009 6:14:15 PM
At first I thought that men couldn't really relate to their feelings like women, because they were not endowed with the same capacities. However, after an email session with the Author, Michael Eads, and reading the additional information on his website: bookondivorce and hearing his audio message, My opinion has changed. I believe he has been able to come to grips with his reality after divorce and that the advice he offers, is from treading on the solid and stable ground of experience, having traversed it successfully to his ultimate destination, closure. This man is for real, and I can only hope his message gets into the hands of those men who really could benefit from his life's journey and hard learned lessons. Rockie Coppolella

Divorce Amplifies Holiday Loneliness (Short Story) - 2/24/2009 3:05:32 PM
Welcome Michael to AD, i just discovered you through a comment you left on my Blog, Brain's song. What you have said about divorce counseling sounds right, though I have never been divorced. it sounds right, but the advice you gave to seek out others who have been down the same road is helpful advice in other areas of those whose life has been tied to the whipping post too long! I felt myself pulled into the story here. Powerfully penned. Thank you for sharing! Rockie Coppolella

Who Killed Romance (Short Story) - 2/17/2009 10:01:29 AM
Fun read, Michael. I also think romance can be delivered in a tray of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. You know what they say, the best way to a man is through his stomach. Of course, nail polish is nice too!

My Bloody Valentine (Short Story) - 1/28/2009 7:00:42 AM
What a bad day, Michael, and I'm glad you are still around to write about it and give us all the inspiration to move on. Bad things happens in all our lives, but you have shown us how to put it behind us a make good things happen.

Who Killed Romance (Short Story) - 1/26/2009 10:33:27 AM
Good one. In my day we called overt women PBs (Pushy Broads). These days, after having had many women as my boss, I have found they are/were just smarter than me. What a shock. Women are just as good as men.

No New Year's Resolution! (Short Story) - 12/30/2008 5:23:53 PM
I am with you on this, I never make New resolutions, I am still finishing up old ones though :) But yes I do agree, a resolution is a disaster waiting to happen...and they do leave the resoluter feeling like a failure when the resolution isn't fufilled. I wanted to quit smoking, and I was a real faliure at my July 2000 resolution, April 2003 promise, 2005 determined, & then September 2006 resolution....Failure! Until I became a quitter in December 2006 :) YAY!!! But there is not time like the present to set a goal... I am all for "No New Year's Resolution!" Peace, Love & Inspiration Embraced Vickie

A Man's Feelings (excerpt Three) (Article) - 9/22/2009 2:53:08 AM
Expressing your feelings through writing is a wonderful way to deal with trauma and challenges in your life. I've written in journals and kept diaries throughout my life and have found that they are a wonderful outlet. I've encouraged my children to do the same...when they can't come to me or anybody else.
