The Gray Dorm (Short Story) - 2/4/2003 2:33:10 PM
Tricia, Jerry is right. this is a very good story that does make you want to read more. It may have been a gray dorm but that little girl saw so much more. Very nice story. I hope to be readin more from you. Glenna

The Gray Dorm (Short Story) - 2/3/2003 4:39:04 PM
I like it a lot- The poet in the author keeps popping up, refusing to be upstaged by the short story writer.Do nuns have feet? I like that paragraph, especially. The last of the story shows a very sensitive thoughtful young girl and makes us want the rest of the story- what happened to her? How did she relate and interact with the other girls and teachers? Did they meet boys? Adventures. Give us some more, Tricia- Jerry

A Gargoyle's Tears (Poetry) - 11/6/2008 1:28:02 PM

Tricia, such 'felt'/'honest' questions from the hear, mind, guts/anger/pain, caring/concern... A Beautiful, Haunting, devasrting work from the depths, real questions written so well.. You know how I feel about the extraordinary mixture of emotions, this timely and ancient, as well piece, is one which should give pause to Anyone reading it... You, my Gifted, Carin, Questioning Friend... (((Tricia)))) so perfectly done and, it...I don't know what to say, makes images, thoughts and emotions come into the reader, extraordinary, yes-- as are you... Where Do Soldiers Go (Poetry) - 4/25/2004 9:18:35 AM
Sigh, perhaps, Trish, it all reaches back to the likes of my ancestors, the Vikings, who thought the ONLY way to reach Valhalla was to die in battle, as a warrior. Even the teachers of those commandments do not equate, for our well-being, the act of waging war with "Thou shalt not kill." So many poems have now been posted about this war and every aspect has been spoken of.. until now! Yours rings unique, creative and with a thought-provoking element I have not seen. Oh, yes, and as an aside, I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face to have you back in my "company"... dear heart, welcome back. love, katy xox.

Where Do Soldiers Go (Poetry) - 4/24/2004 8:05:24 PM
I had a cousin over there in the first war. Now one of my good friends is over there. I hope to God he comes back alive, too. If soldiers go anywhere, I hope it's the same place your beautiful words come from.

A meaningful 'borrowing' from Mr. Whitman, indeed.. but that's not what this is about.. I took senior lifesaving as a kid.. you go under those waves, Tricia, I'm there! And now, I sit here weeping for the utter beauty and depth with which you have told this, I fear, auto-biographically. I cannot bear to think of you this sad. katy.

Dream Weave A Notion (Poetry) - 2/1/2003 7:23:03 PM
Ahhh, what minds can do when they blend.. when they share. The last 8 lines gave me tears.. the entire poem made me smile, to be in the company of such wordsmiths. This is how we grow wings and truly fly. sigh. Lovely. katy.

Look to the Skies  (Poetry) - 2/1/2003 7:17:01 PM
Oh, my, how utterly, utterly moving this is. You have a heart spun of gold and a mind woven of pure magic. You have honored these people, as you always honor us in the den. Simply beyond words. Love, katy.

Dream Weave A Notion (Poetry) - 2/1/2003 4:55:01 PM
In dreams eveything is possible. In the light of day, many dreams vanish into nothing. Maybe a recurring dream might be achieved. Who knows? Bill

The Walls (Poetry) - 1/25/2003 6:31:27 PM
Tricia, I have felt this way many times. This poem brought back many many feelings... So I would rather not remember. But it also brought back a good one... The feeling of freedom when no longer surrounded by the walls. This is a wonderful write. Glenna

The Walls (Poetry) - 1/25/2003 11:36:58 AM
Trish- They weren't put up overnight; they won't come down overnight- I know the walls you mean. I had to level mine with a move- physical, dynamic. This is a hell of a good poem! Describes what many of us have felt but didn't know how to describe. One suggestion, Trish. In the second verse, you might want to add an "s" to friend. Thanks for the good writing. Jerry

Death By the Tube (Poetry) - 1/23/2003 6:07:04 PM
What a rollicking, rockin', rollin', robust round of rhyme you've got here! You tell 'em, Trish.. give 'em enough cable and they will hang themselves! (em.. except for Discovery and A&E.. I like those.. tehe). God, even the Weather channel is more entertaining than most of it.. ah, well..This is yet another bright star in your glittering sky of great poetry. katy.

Storm (Poetry) - 1/23/2003 5:58:17 PM
Jaysus.. this is amazing! a work of art, and I mean 'visual' art.. I'm in awe of how you can move me, any reader, to the eye of this storm.. IM THERE! God, you're good! katy.

The Walls (Poetry) - 1/23/2003 5:54:30 PM
Oh, Trish.. such a feeling of desolation.. I can feel my hand on your shoulder, hoping it might bring some sort of comfort.. it takes the kind of word-magic you have to allow us into even your deepest places.. but, please, don't let this be today for you. I don't want you to feel such pain. Not you. katy.

The Walls (Poetry) - 1/23/2003 3:37:42 PM

I have a couple of suggestions:line 8- mash; line 12-roll, line 22- moonlit--Question mark to finish your poem off? I sure hope you do some more like this. You're very good at it. Jerry

Reflections (Poetry) - 12/10/2002 6:29:03 AM
Sweet and angelic! It's amazing the way God knows everything that is going to happen and yet we write our own pages in life. . we have the choice of whether to be happy or sad and that decision is made through reflecting (especially in the morning). Your poetry is right on target! Thumbs up! Soaring ten!

Into Wonderland (Poetry) - 12/6/2002 7:02:00 PM
Patricia, So powerful, this is. Sometimes, when my "Life Keys" have been hopelessly lost--when ultimately discovered, I have gotten the feeling in reflection, that I was simply being called to sincerely "embrace" despare--allowing it to move through me rather than fighting it--that's when it always seems the lights come on. Confounding, but so true for me. -- Thanks for your rousing support of my work, too! Vicky
