I've often wondered how nurses survive such up close brushes with sorrow. A revealing and very beautiful poem. Thank God there are nurses who truly care and know how to give not only medical assistance but compassion.

Interesting. I remember when we used to have to make letters ourselves with writing instruments and paper. Now I push buttons and they appear on a screen. Handwriting was an art. It is lost now. Much enjoyed. John

Pretensions eh? I had to laugh at the title capitalized given the gist. I have often wondered ... if plants could intellectualize, as humans, how they would deal with their vast differences philosophically. I do certainly agree with the first three lines of your last stanza, being mostly in the category, but I must admit that I have NEVER considered amateurs slime. Especially since most poets, brilliant or mediocre, don't get paid for what they create. I enjoyed the humorous aspects of this.

You imparted a great message, that you are a concerned parent about your children All of us parents feel like you posted things here too and have to have faith in others and our children that things will be ok when they are away from us. They have to grow up and face their lives too and rmember and help their parents too. I loved this write, so informative and caring and helpful to me.
