Living in a Hyphen-Nation (Short Story) - 7/16/2009 5:27:38 PM
Hi Buck, Comical, but so true. To hyphenate is such an interruption... if they left just a space there, at least a person could catch a breath while trying to say it... even while kissing. ;) Thank you for sharing this...

Honky Tonks Night Clubs Bars & Dives (Poetry) - 8/21/2009 11:12:38 PM
The words are good and the situation, timeless, but to really appreciate this song you've got to see and hear Buck sing it in person in a honky tonk, night club, bar or dive. When I saw him, I was upstairs in a bar room inside a no longer standing British Restaurant (in Houston) where there were double decked British busses parked outside. Then, again in a boathouse and again in a dive I can't recall except for the beer splattered floors. No matter. Mr. Stonebroke is the real thing and is as genuine as Billy Joe Shaver.

Much truth in this-and I could hear it being sung as I read it.

This has both a sad meloncholy feel with a bit of a bite to it, but written well...
Be always safe,

Ah, what a lovely dream. Too bad it doesn't work out that way too often.
Home Grown Man (Poetry) - 5/30/2009 12:59:22 PM
Right on! There's no man like a "home grown man". It's not the famous and fabulous that make the world go round, but all of us.

Nice song!!! I love it!!! The happiest lifestyle are the ones with lots of love and no worries; holding hands, and declaring love.
