The Picaresque Picnic (Book) - 1/27/2009 11:38:05 AM
I send greetings to all that these letters may read.
I had a feeling that I was going find magnificent poetical works on my ways throughout AuthorsDen's site. On my first stop I read "Dance of the Spider Woman"... I thought that I was dreaming... then on to read "Ghosts of the Cherokees"... I never said "EUREKA" so loud as today!
Based on the samples of this Poet's styles, substantiality and poetic excellence that I was privileged to know today, I have no doubt that "The Picaresque Picnic" is a sure treasure of the literary world.
Healthy Long Productive Life through a Blissful living may enjoy the Author of "The Picaresque Picnic".

Fantastic write, d.b.! Oh we have a blood and tear-stained history. Indigenous peoples have always suffered in the quest for lands by the "civilized"...Lin

The Germans were tried and convicted of a genocide, but in America's past is this even worse crime, but no one takes responsibility and the American Indian dies a slow death even today...Ed

Dance of the Spider Woman (Poetry) - 1/27/2009 11:16:39 AM
The magical rhythm, contents, lexis and imagery stimulate the imagination, and take the reader on trip to the wonderful world of symbolism and beauty. Art met intuition and imagination, and the wonderful pen of Poet D.B. Coulson became brush to paint this "Dance of the Spider Woman".

It is a very sad part of history what the white man did to Native Americans. You express it so well, and make us remember.

Ghosts of the Cherokees (Poetry) - 1/27/2009 7:23:05 AM
Hi d.b.! Yep, genocide is the correct word! It's a policy/doctrine that is still practiced today. There will always be voices in the dark. If people could only see what you see, you write it very well. Thank you for sharing...

Wonderfully expressed! Being part Cherokee, I felt this deeply. It brought back memories of family history told by a great grandparent.
