Angels Talk (Book) - 3/24/2008 6:54:57 AM
Angels Talk is a beautiful, moving, inspirational piece of art. I loved reading every word, particularly after practicing yoga or taking a long nature walk - your poetry dovetails wonderfully with spiritual/meditative experiences. I particularly loved "know" and "sacred insane", but I find that each time I read through the book (which has been about three times already) a new poem speaks to me and ascends to the top of my favorite list. You are an evolved spirit and this shines forth through your words, their arrangement and even the spaces between your words. Congratulations on a beautiful book; I have and will continue to thoroughly enjoy it.

on the Colorado river (Short Story) - 4/2/2009 6:53:35 AM
Debby...this is not "like awesome" when traveled down the Colorado but it's that "feeling" of actually seeing something so raw and steeped in age and wondering....Well written of course my friend! About 4 yrs ago, Joe and I and my granddaughter Meghan who was about 12 at the time took a 5 hour boat trip along the Colorado beginning around Blythe CA, and on up ... the water is shallow in several spots, and we had to manuever around the sand so we wouldn't get stuck... It was hot as you know, and we stopped overnite in some little town and there were no rooms, so Joe spent the nite with some guys camping, and Meghan and I slept on the boat which was very nice...We had such fun, but...that trip was plenty...no "want" to do it again! hehe... hugs, lindalaw

This makes a lot of sense, Debby. Thank you. Love and blessings to you,

1956 (Short Story) - 12/24/2006 7:30:07 PM
I'm not turning fifty...but almost half way there. I do remember the days of Mayberry, Lassie, and playing the 45's loud on the record player. My mom worked in a local drug store, my sister and I often got new 45's before our friends from the salesmen or sometimes the display records, we got many of the old magazines that didn't sell during the month, the cover would be cut off, but still those wonderful posters of Elvis and other great singers were still inside. I too experienced the change of styles...ooh those bell bottoms were something else...do you remember the elephant leg pants...yuck. My mom was also a seamstress and often tried the new styles out on my sister and I...we were human ginnie pigs. Loved this write...took me back, oh yeah do you remember the diet sodas...Fresca and Tab..nasty stuff. Man I was glad when Diet Dr. Pepper came along. Great write enjoyed the trip down memory lane.
Blessings and Merry Christmas,

Is Time? (Poetry) - 1/26/2013 8:27:52 PM
Time is man made and Earthly. There could be a 100,000 things that can happen to us in a split second that we miss; the "time" we are unaware of. Then again from a Universal point of view, our lives could be as fleeting as a drop in a pond.
This write triggers the mind!

"one finds a search that will never end" Indeed! At some point in the journey (I've learned personally that) enlightenment will have compassion on its seekers and, in so doing, reveal to them that planting and tending a garden, partaking of its beauty, and eating of its bounty, is infinitely more rewarding. Thought-provokingly rendered.

Is Time? (Poetry) - 1/22/2013 8:51:08 AM
Time was ... I'd have agreed... and Time has yet to prove me wrong... truth be told, I'd rather be out of Time just in time to plan a timely time-out timed to the tune of some 'old-time' rhyme... I guess it's true what they say about timing... it's everything... and nothing can compare to a well-timed remark... so I'll conclude where your poem left off: "Time is only as real as your last thought"... and that, dear Deb, is a timeworn truth.

We understand things of past and present, and talk and write in that context, which reinforces a concept of time, of which there is not, it's one always, the now as you said, it resides in the moment this moment the only moment, if one meditates on the totallity, "There is", that's all. It no time to write this by the way, a little chuckle, bless ya.

... this takes my mind somewhere very visceral, Debby, inspite of the beautied wonderment and awe. I, too, love to watch, but this part of me also loves to participate! LOL! :)) xx
rainbow (Poetry) - 8/20/2012 11:26:31 AM
Beautiful in words and picture, all around I see beauty, Debby!
Begun (revist) (Poetry) - 8/13/2012 9:45:45 AM
several disparate images inform the essence of this articulate poem, but the ending sticks in my craw... probably because I prefer George Harrison's perspective as delineated so carefully in his song "Behind that Locked Door"... he says, "So, let out your heart, please, please... from behind that locked door..." You see, Debby, to me it is more a matter of release... perhaps catch and release... to use a fishing term. I catch my heart or catch up with it because it often runs ahead of me, and then I release it again to give freely of itself as others have need... then when it runs out, I catch it again and let the cosmic power of love fill it up, or refill it... so, let out your heart, please, please... from behind that locked door...
Interesting thoughts these...

I've been wondering why I've been hit by the "clumsys", too, Debby, so thanks for the perfect excuse! Now I know that the world is shifting, rather than me being the one that's misaligned. Love the positivity here and the image which backdrops your words is perfect. Polar tensions for certain sure. xx

The probability that we are here is infinitesimal. Thank you for bringing awareness to me of that fact. No wonder I feel so small when I view the night sky.

I love the positive tones that you have put forward through your verse here, Debby; not so easy to do at time, it seems to me anyway. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

Herein you exude the wisdom and stillness and innate understanding and knowledge of a stone, Debby. A stone just is and what it knows and understands who can tell? How transient are our "realities2 by comparison. I really like this, thank you. xx

What if our common ground is differences cherished that unite us in diversity rather than dividing us in pluraliity?
I sense the common mother you allude to though, and heartily concur that environmental issues must unite rather than divide.
Always enjoy your perspective, Debby.

father II (Poetry) - 6/19/2012 11:50:35 AM
Indeed, the world is very much in need of this Father figure that you have painted so extraordinarily well, Debby. With adequate "fathering", life assumes its correct and natural order so that all else falls into place. I can't explain this, but it just seems to be so. The role is, indeed, hallowed. And we are blessed by those who live up to it and whose example shines. xx

There is something mysterious and magical about this poem that I really love.
Play II (Poetry) - 6/13/2012 6:03:42 PM
...these lines edge one with feckless abandon into the zone of proximal development brought so wonderfully to life by a little thing we like to call the imagination... "the place where I play now..." I also like the philosophical aura that permeates your introspective reverie... a fine poem, indeed.
Play II (Poetry) - 6/13/2012 5:23:13 PM

I found myself dwelling on your thoughts. Superbly presented.
dwells II (Poetry) - 6/11/2012 10:33:03 AM
the "I don't knows" of the profound stillness of an age-old stone are perhaps more of a challenge than the "what is" and "what could be", Debby. But the joy undoubtedly is that the experience of creation always tends to enlighten and inform us of the "I don't knows" even by its very action. Love the stillpoint of "dwelling" in this write. xx

Love this and how it so accurately describes how poets and writers blend their letters into words, sentences, paragraphs or verses to create their own written art forms. Well done...
letters (Poetry) - 6/2/2012 12:21:02 PM
Words are alive, that's for certain sure... but as to their meaning, the way they are received, interpreted - well, that's where they assume immortality in a multiplicity of guises, divine or devilish! As always, mind-expanding work, Debby. xx

Isn't that so true, that the shared moments of real aliveness, the moments of revelation and appreciation are when we feel that kindredness: appreciating others' uniqueness in the same instant of understanding their/our sameness? You have succinctly phrased a quintessential je ne sais quoi here, Debby. Thank you xx

this stanza is a lovely summation to a poem that has thrilled my heart and mind with an amazing sense of satisfaction as I partook of its images and ideas, Debby. Debby, You have hit it on the head of a nail...
without exception (Poetry) - 5/3/2012 11:51:14 AM
Now that's an alternate perspective, if I ever saw one. Yes, it's hard to believe that we are made up of molecules and energy and that everything is moving. We are nothing without the energy moving our atoms around until entropy occurs.
without exception (Poetry) - 5/2/2012 5:07:06 PM
When our thoughts they must, become like all, a speck of dust, still there's life from there, and life still everywhere. Love makes the difference, nurture that. Wonderful Debby, and so is the picture, most creative! Bless ya!

I love this & too your ending about forgiveness...if we forgive our self for things who are we to not forgive another? It would be very selfish to receive forgiveness & not then to give it away to another person who is also worthy of it...and of course love
we are all worthy of this too
Love & Healing Balms
without exception (Poetry) - 5/2/2012 1:44:37 AM
That's how I see it too Debby...'everything, everyone is one thing...a field of energy colored and patterned in shapes and forms then animated' and we are here to learn, to know and to experience. As we are all one and interconnected it makes sense to love all that IS, without exception...
without exception (Poetry) - 5/2/2012 1:34:57 AM
A surreal conception of life and all of its meandering and thoughts and feelings.
reflected (Poetry) - 4/27/2012 9:14:59 AM
I Love This Debby. Last year a Robin was courting it's reflection in one of my windows for weeks. I felt so sorry for the little bugger cause he even foaught with the other Robins trying to get his birf love attentions lol...you may have seen my post about it on FaceBook with some images. I realized eventually to open the window to the screen so he could'nt see himself.
Your pen here though imprints lastingly with deeper meanings

agape (Poetry) - 4/27/2012 4:27:22 AM
Agape brought forth in Christian theology, and one of the four loves sometimes know as sacrificial love, Philia - a more of friendship and virtuous love, Eros - passionate and desirous longing love, Storge one we feel for our children. All this love courses our life to some degree. It is the season it is the time yes all of us are awakening, all of us consciously are remembering who we are, and it is up to us to choose the right path only known to us following our heart and soul. All that which was given to all of us. Honor it, worship it, protect mother earth and put away material things for they have no worth.
:) got a little carried away.
Beautiful, thank you
Love and Light
