Not really impressive.

The Hardest Time of All (Short Story) - 9/6/2008 2:43:58 PM
"Her mouth, though wide and well-formed, had a sad, downward cast, as if life had proved a bitter disappointment; a disappointment from which she would never recover." "Her gaze rested on the distant mountains where, even now, men were digging feverishly in the earth in search of dreams." I hail from a village where the life is painted with cruel, dull colors. This is touching.

Get Published - Narration - First or Third Person Narrative (Article) - 9/8/2010 5:44:48 AM
Gwen, As a very inexperienced writer, I thank you. In my class, we were told, third person is probably better because it allows you to give more depth to your character. However first person seems more passionate depending on your genre. Maybe one of these days, I'll learn how to get this right. (LOL) Thank you for being a teacher.

Good general reminder. May need mention that writer targeting specific publisher should verify if special format required.

Gwen, again you take me back on a journey to my youth, young lovers, carefree and careless. There is beautiful imagery in your poetry. Warm regards, David

Time (Poetry) - 7/28/2010 3:05:51 AM
Your poem captures the relentless and remorseless march of time, it is the one thing that our technology has not been able to tame! I know that they say: 'you should grow old gracefully' but I confess, I lust for the days of my youth. Best regards Gwen, david

Sweet sentiment a mountain high, in so few words. Nicely penned Gwen. I miss my precious Mom too, and your words touched my heart.

Went to the fruit market today, saw sour cherries, and can remember my mother making cherry pies and pitting all those cherries for them. Remembrances of childhood days long gone. Nothing is like your Mother.

Mother's Love (Poetry) - 3/14/2008 10:27:34 AM
Short but says a thousand words. How many of us are in the same boat. Read this with a knot in my throat. My wee mother was in a similar way. Hope time helps you. Best--Gerry
